I understand why people go Furry/Otherkin. Escapism. Hell, most of the time I feel the same way. I'd love to be delusional enough to actually run with it but I am afflicted by a rather crashing sanity.

Violence is a thing with these sort of people. I got punched in the head on a crowded train in NYC because I dared voice my opinion (we were all discussing what to do in NYC that day, except apparently my interests were unwelcome.... to the point of punching me so hard I fell).

I knew an "Otherkin" back in high school, though the term wasn't one she would have been familiar with or used had she known it, and she was so out there about what she thought and believed that it was at least as harmful to our group of friends as the Final Fantasy House stuff, though probably a little less since thankfully none of us ever lived with her.

I was very blunt with her at the time and refused to humor her fantasies, which eventually cost me her friendship, and when I look back with what I know now about her that I didn't know then - she was going through some absolutely insane levels of abuse from a family member and her boyfriend at the time, as a mutual friend told me not too long ago - I regret it. I still don't know how I was supposed to handle it, exactly, but I wish I had had at least more tact.

This is pretty obviously someone's transmedia marketing campaign. I don't know to what purpose (a game? movie? TV series?). Might just be a major project for school. I had to do a transmedia campaign for a project for school. I went with Twitter/Tumblr/maps.

I don't think it's some crazy, creepy malicious thing like the video leads to. They need to up their creepypasta game.

@auspice Obviously I don't think it's real. I'm wondering if the DDLC slip was actually a slip, since DDLC seems to be an ARG for a larger game itself. Usually when Nightmare Expo does these sorts of videos whatever it is has run it's course. This is pretty new. But okay, not weird enough huh? How about that angel ARG he mentioned early in the video?

I love his act. I know he didn't fool them, but he's got a great stage presence and he's adorable.

The Very Stable Genius very political, but I don't honestly feel like getting that tag just to post it somewhere. This man is a genius when it comes to putting political satire to musical theatre.
