@Auspice I would be willing to tell people to knock that shit off if someone is needed for that. I actually have a policy written for almost exactly that, which is now so much funnier to me than it used to be. (It was a lot of words that summed to: tl;dr: staff does not fucking care, act like adults or GTFO.)
Staffly things probably should never need to be more than the equiv of forum modding I'd... hope? In this particular case, things not being super srs bizness.
If Ares has the equivalent of a 'you take a week off plz' kick function it would probably solve 99% of the problems it would ever have. (Aside from the usual 'some asshole just logged in on channel and started spouting hate speech and gets banned as normal, obvs.)
