Good Horror Games?
-
So I'm a huge fan of horror. I know I wrote months back about WoD (Old, please and thank you) and didn't really click into any games. My fault on that - life was irksome.
That being said, are there any other types of horror games out there?
Cheers for any suggestions!

I'm not sure what qualifies as good by your standards but here are a few games that I know about. All of them run on Ares.
Obsidian Reverie - Chronicles of Darkness 2e. I think they used to do their sheets via google docs. Not sure if that's still the way.
Doomed - A Buffy game that uses FS3. They do allow FCs, which may or may not be a deal breaker for you.
Then there's obviously Gray Harbor and Spirit Lake but I think those are more supernatural based than horror.
I know of a few games in development. Another Buffy game and a game that is meant to embody the spirit of Gothic dramas like Dark Shadows and Vampire Diaries.
Hope those help!

Hey there!
I'm the Tech Admin for Obsidian Reverie are 2e WoD, run of Ares and still working off Google Sheets like Zombie mentioned. Though I am preparing to take another crack at an Ares plugin for WoD but there's no holding breath on that xD. I am not an expert coder by any means.
Feel free to drop me a line with any questions

Gray Harbor is horror themed but has nothing to do with WoD. It comes down to what exactly you mean by 'horror' -- urban American Call of Cthulhu is probably where I'd end up if I had to apply one, quick label.

To add to this, GH also heavily reminds me of Stephen King-esque Horror. Specifically IT and probablyyy The Shining.

Thanks for all the replies, guy! I like all types of horror (my old post was just an example! Doesn't have to all be WoD set.)
Supernatural, psychological - I'm pretty keen for a number of things. So far, so good, I'll have to see what I can get a feel for. Keep'em coming! If there are more that come to mind that is.
