I have to agree. On the surface, the idea is great but one would have to think about the sustainability of such a theme.

"Just leave me alone. I'm not myself. I'm falling apart, and I don't want you here." - ― Daniel Keyes, Flowers for Algernon

Going through the latest book makes me wish there was still a Dresden Files game around. Had so much fun on the last one I played at in its hay day.

I think you could do a pretty decent game using the Dresden Accelerated ruleset. It is, by far, my favorite iteration of FATE.

@WildBaboons I believe Tenebrous Isles is still around but I don't know how active it is.

Maybe a game that was based on a type of Demigods, Gods, and Goddesses like thing. Like American Gods or a blast from the past with Magnus Chase or Percy Jackson-type fun.

I've been wanting to do something with Fate: Gods and Monsters or Mystic Empyrean for a while.

This. I play Harry on a MU that is an amalgam of a bunch of themes but would love to play on a MU that is specifically his world.

Scion 2E has been...sort of a thing for a minute! They're still working on the demigod and god stuff tho.

Man, people complain about dinosaurs and power creep on normal games; I can't imagine the amount of whining and bitching there'd be on a game where there are literal tiers of power and if you're below someone else you're basically like a fly. Lol.

"Excuse the hell out of you. He's a bag of dicks. I'm a carefully curated box of cocks." -- to @GirlCalledBlu upon being misrepresented.

If done well and players weren't what they are, it could be pretty awesome, playing politics and toadying up to bigger powers; however, players will be what they are, and that definitely will not happen.

What is really cool (in theory, we'll see how they'll make it work) is that the different tiers are almost like completely different games this time around. Demigods and Gods aren't just "Hero character but can juggle mountains now." They don't just open themed coffee shops and casually smite the fuck out of people in BaRP, they've got very different spheres of responsibility and can't muck around in the mortal world without severe consequences, so they have to rely on Hero-level characters and mortals for the every day stuff. I think it'd be really interesting to see a MU* with all three interdependent tiers in action the way they've described it.

My confidence in MUers being able to apply that sort of division on a game is so close to zero it might as well be below it.

                                  I said it.

As much as I love the setting for Mass Effect or really any space game, I always worry that the distances involved breaks up the playerbase too much. "Hey, they're a group playing in a bar on the Citadel. I should stop by and see what's going on! Oh, wait. I'm Omega for a scene tonight and it's a three week trip to get to Citadel..."

Base it on the Citadel or Omega?

I know there is the eternal debate of sci-fi players who want multiple planets and those who don't care, but!

Well, yes, you would base it around one station. The issue is that not all the action takes place in one locale in ME. PCs would likely be traveling between locations, even if for quick missions or maybe some space-truckin', which breaks up the playerbase.
