A friend finally got out of an abusive relationship. And not just got out off, but made it so the guy lost his medical license, his job, and had to move out of state and won't ever come back. Woo for karma finally coming in.

When you log in to an old MU to scavenge a character desc and find that the character's desc is from a Halloween party with them dressed as Super Grover

I was in the grocery store today and Sweet Caroline start playing on the Muzak system. while moving through the aisles I heard at least three people singing along. the two older women were somewhat expected but amusing. the college dude bro really getting into it to the horror of his companion was the highlight though.

@shangdi if you made the code available as a plug-in I bet some other Ares 2e games would pop up

RE: Wheel of Time MU*
Using the Tat's spell system from Spirit Lake is exactly what I was doing with Patterns of an Age. It works pretty well for a lot of things, but some weaves are just going to be difficult to put into that context... but that's fine really.
Tat's system is awesome, but unless you've got the time (I turned out not to), I'd stick with regular FS3 and just some simple guidelines/weapons/skills to mimic channeling like some of the other magic based games have (the nazi punching one I can't remember the name of, for example)

Thanks-A-Lot were the best and I'm mad they got rid of them.
Those were the best. And also the best because almost everyone would read the name and then repeat in with a very sarcastic tone. Probably why they got rid of them.
Also I just looked. I still have 6 boxes of Girl Scout cookies from last year. whoops.

@silverfox My son walks to school (there are bullies on his bus that he wants to avoid and he's familiar with the route). Yesterday, the day where the skies opened up and dumped like 4-5 inches of snow? He chose to wear his hoodie and sneakers because 'it didn't look that bad out'. People suck at judging the weather. XD
That just sounds like standard kid. We got maybe 3" of snow today and I saw at least three kids walking to/from school in t-shirts. It isn't cool to be warm. You just don't understand.

@ganymede At least they didn't schedule a meeting with you and three other tangentially attached people to discuss it?

I have family that works as a Labor and Delivery RN. The worse name they have seen was La-a. You pronounce it as La Dash A. The mother kept getting super upset when people pronounced it as "La a"

Weird.. I made a post but it disappeared?
Shakshuka is essentially eggs poached in tomato? Definitely not less mushy, but super good.

RE: Health and Wealth and GrownUp Stuff
I have a Rx that got kicked back by insurance for prior auth a couple of weeks ago. Even though is the only FDA approved drug for the treatment insurance denied it. Doctor's office tried repeatedly to contact insurance to appeal, but they were not returning their calls. Called insurance myself to at least try and get things move, got case number, gave to Doctor a week ago. Still nothing from insurance.
I have the suspicion that they are just running out the clock until 1/1 when the deductible rolls over. As of right now I've met the maximum out of pocket so they would have to fork over the entire few thousand dollars (see that part about the only FDA approved drug. No generic.) for the course of treatment but if they wait for the new year they won't have to pay anything thanks to the High Deductible.

Well, I'm not angry about it,
I'm not really angry. Just so so disappointed.
I said to some other folks a few episodes back that it was like the showrunner found a horde of old WoT RP MU logs from the 90s and turned them into scripts for the show. Lots of attempts at being gritty and pushing boundaries while showing only the barest understanding of the actual source material.
@Wretched I have not watched them myself, but I have heard that if you watch all the extra material on Prime (that really should have made it into the episodes) it fills in some of the holes and makes it a bit better? Why they chose to leave that stuff out and put other stuff in.. I dunno.
