@TNP There's the Firan Survival Thread, which demonstrates why you should ban the IP associated with the account as soon as it logs in, but you know. People want to pretend to be 'fair' and give the person a 'clean slate'.
I don't believe in faux fairness nor clean slates. This individual isn't deserving of any. A recurring pattern of adverse behavior that does not evolve with time is to be outright stopped.

@deadculture No problem; I just don't want someone I know from elsewhere/etc to be painted with that particular brush. I know Reynaud's player pretty well, and have for like a million years. He's as good as Custodius is supposed to be bad.

So after the WoD game I was on kind of died (for all intents and purposes), I looked around for another game and logged on here as a guest.
Almost instantly, several people greeted me. Something that doesn't happen on the existing WoD games I checked out. They offered helped and when I asked about the possibility of playing there without having read the books, one of them sent me to a wiki page with a list of links that would catch me up quickly. The same list Sunny posted here.
Yes, it was her as I found out when I asked. We talked and it turned out her IC brother was a perfect fit for me. I've had a ton of fun so far and most of it hasn't been with her. The players are friendly and eager to RP even with strangers. Another thing that seems anathema to WoD games lately.
So play here. It's fun.

I wanted to put this out there, since I know we've had a new flood of folks from around these parts.
Skaldia, who handles most of the approvals / application process, is on vacation in a different state from his usual, doing family stuff for the holidays. Thus, the app process is basically on hold until he gets back. This is the downside of having a small staff (I far prefer it this way all the same); when the holidays hit stuff does stop for a bit.
Things should be back to normal next week. I do apologize for the wait; I know it can be frustrating.

I'm one of the goofs waiting.
Good news for me is that KD's system is the nWoD 1e system, which I'm pretty familiar with. So this game, essentially, is a Mortal-only medieval fantasy game, with an emphasis on politics.

I do greatly appreciate already knowing the system but that's because usually learning new mechanics isn't something I look forward to.
One thing I noticed though while filling out the sheet is that, without all the supernatural stuff as XP sinks, you can get a ton of milage out of relatively few XP totals.
If anyone wants to associate with my new PC's House (when he's approved) or if you're shopping for a place with room to grow which isn't already packed with people feel free to PM me.

I am definitely looking to make a character and have poked my head in as a guest, people certainly seem extremely friendly and receptive to ideas. Now to hope that I can recover sufficient energy over the weekend to actually apply - it is not holiday season in other countries!

I just had a couple jobs taken care of that had been waiting. Small stuff but it shows that the queue is again being worked on.

KD has a two-person staff roster. Despite that, under ordinary circumstances the queue moves pretty quick. Things probably got backed up because of the holiday, but Ash and Skaldia don't believe in letting things sit around and collect dust... as can probably be seen in how quick the waiting backlog of people in CG got pushed through.

So a few questions I am curious about.

Can I get a few suggestions on how these varying nobles generally differentiate themselves from eachother? I've been asked to play there, but have trouble coming up with what manner of thing I could do that would be intresting.

How much freedom are players generally allowed to make up for story reasons for their character? Can I make up rivals in other houses? Some vendetta they have against my PC? An unfortunate death that caused them to be central in a power struggle between two minor houses?
