Went on a two hour drive around my part of town with a friend of mine. So many new Pokemon were to be had by me, including a Meowth, an Ekans and a Goldeen, among others.

I agree! I bought 200 pokeballs yesterday, plus got extras when my friend and I went out and hit up the pokestops on the main road on this end of town. I also bought 25 incense. I am now down to 48 pokeballs and 7 incense!

I've barely been playing. Very disappointed with the "fixes" they've been rolling out.

I normally don't put that much money into it but decided I was bored and needed a distraction that was not going to result in endless frustration for me.

I mean paying for games isn't anathema, even for ones with microtransactions. I see no reason I shouldn't spent as much as say, my WoW subscription for something I play regularly.

@Arkandel I'll gladly pay like $3-4 for a fancy cup of coffee, which I drink in all of half an hour. But paying $3-4 for an app I'll regularly for the next year seems insane to me.

I'll pay $5-10 a month on an app I use regularly. I think I've spent about $10 overall in PGO so far. Mostly on expanding my backpack because, uh. I seriously haven't yet run out of Pokeballs. I've even thrown some out before because my bag was full. >.>

But I had a similar thought. 'I've spent $20 in Starbucks in a week before' (that particular week, I did also pay for a friend) 'so why can't I spend $10 in a game where it'll last me?' Wasn't a difficult stigma for me to get over. You adapt to it when you get things like tattoos. ($100? For something that'll last the rest of my life? Shit, I've spent that on a fancy dinner.)

The 2500 coins was a little over $20, with tax. And I put in a bit over five last week. I don't really think I'll wind up spending more than $5 at a time, on an average. Yesterday was just an exception.

I think I've mentioned this before here but in case I haven't - I'm so spoiled by just 'finding' things online it doesn't even occur to me not to any more.

So while ago I was looking for the .apk file (basically an Android app in installable form) for Plex, a media player I use almost literally every day. I must have been searching for the latest version for half an hour before it occurred to me... what the hell am I doing? It's $4. $4, one-time fee including all future upgrades - what am I doing?
