I actually might remake my young cub Forsaken I played once, a half-Japanese half-American college-age kid, who was a writer for an alternative scene/club scene magazine. He was an experiment in taking the 'territorial protectorate' aspect of the banchou/sukeban subculture and expanding on that as a Forsaken. He First Changed as a Rahu and joined the Iron Masters.

For Demon, I'll be playing an Inquisitor Psychopomp whose main Covers are detectives of one stripe or another.

For Werewolf, I'll be playing a graduate journalism student who will First Change into a Cahalith and, if all goes well, join the Storm Lords.

For Vampire, I'll be playing all of your worst nightmares, because I'm going to enjoy NPCing the fuck out of that sphere.

I'm going to be playing a Ventrue member of the Ordo Dracul, possibly an Architect of the Monolith if they don't SUCK after Coin gets through rewriting their perks.

I've played Nosferatu a ton, but am looking to get away from the mold of someone mostly motivated by loneliness and try someone mostly motivated both by desire for knowledge and the power that comes with it, because power rocks.

After watching Kingsman, I really want to play up the OD as a sort of "elegant if sinister" secret society. And see what insane gadgets and tricks Coin will let me get away with.

My werewolf shall be a disgraced and fallen college athlete, whose anger issues and misguided attempts at doing the right thing ended him in a short prison stint and a loss of a possible professional career.

Somewhere between a bro and a biker, with a side of immense anger issues and giant muscles.

Reading this made me super excited to see that happen.

ETA: I'll be playing a Guardian/Tempter Demon with what has turned into a highly complex backstory who's covers are a religious Russian lounge singer from the Bohm family and an alcoholic, slightly bipolar Sheriff's deputy. I can think of at least 3 other people who intend to play vamp, so with any luck we'll at least start out with a core group in each sphere, so I wouldn't worry yet.

Working on it. I can't promise it won't be activity-based, though. I can promise I will do my best to promote situations where people are eligible for Renown without having to put up "need a Renown scene" on the boards, however. I think the whole "set your own bar" thing will be a deciding factor in how I do it. So we'll see. Gimme some time. We're a way's away anyway, still.

But it's not a matter of promises, it's just a matter of making a gameplay choice and whether it's compatible with what some players want. If you guys decide to go with a traditional way to earn Renown it's not like I won't play the game. Some people like me might not play a Werewolf, which isn't the end of the world.

@Arkandel, I would hope people like you would still give Werewolf a chance and see how it works. Maybe with some attention and the right opportunities, you'd find it enjoyable. Who knows!

I've two concepts I'm toying with.

The first one is a Demon. His pre-Pact cover was hired by Vampire A to get close to and spy on Vampire B; he freaked out, made a pact and got out. Now my PC is trying to stay undiscovered tangled in conflicting loyalties - and I'm looking for a player for Vampire A.
The second one is a Werewolf. If I play him he'd be Rahu, very much a thug, modeled on Marv from Sin City with a touch of Bud White (the Russell Crowe character) in L.A. Confidential. I'd be looking for a pack for him as well as overall connections.

@Stabby When it's ready. It's just a matter of code being completed and tested, afaik.

Vaguely: Another week or two for minor templates. Another month after that for major templates, assuming nobody mistakes my code crunch for sociopathy.

I code better while minorly ill with the flu, so we will see what these weather changed bring.

The people logging in to check things out are pretty excited people, so that helps.
