Green Ronin Seeks Female Writers
-
I do not want to set off a political war, so please no? Just appreciate that a company is specifically seeking to bring women to its writing staff.
Anyhow... Green Ronin is going to be, in a couple weeks, setting off a talent search for a female writer to work on Lost Citadel.

Sexism aside, different sexes have different brain chemical shit going on.
And that provides a difference of perspective. I see nothing wrong with wanting to hire a man or a woman specifically.

And the article does state they intend to do something along similar lines for male writers later this year.

I'm almost afraid to ask of their stance on trans women

If you read the article, they explicitly state 'If you identify as female'
Also, the friend who pointed this out to me (who works with Green Ronin) is very pro-LGBT and wouldn't be so supportive/gung-ho of the project if they weren't willing to gladly accept trans-women. -
@Auspice Oh! Thanks, I missed the phrasing when I looked it over.

The folks behind Green Ronin are really good people, extremely progressive (to the point of being punk in many cases), and very socially conscious. They're definitely pro-LGBT.

Quote:
The setting/property does not shy away from telling stories by women, about women, or for women, even as it endeavors to provide a context for telling stories that are gender-neutral. To us, that is genuine inclusivity, which is part of why non-binary-identifiying folks are welcome to submit to this talent search, too. -
White Wolf back in ancient times (1994?) when game companies didn't give a crap about hiring women and minorities, in spite of employment discrimination laws.
Green Ronin today... champions of diversity.

I am so burned, so hurt, oh my lord how will I ever recover from the depths of dumbass spewed forth.

@Tyche Probably... 95 or 96. That I know that is one of the reasons I'm surely going to hell.
Now back to doing my taxes whilst gripped by wayyyy too many flashbacks.

Green Ronin has shared a short story from the anthology (and also announced that they'll be publishing the next run of it; the last was Kickstarter-only): https://freeronin.com/fiction/Bone-Shakers_Daughter.pdf
