[Interest Check] Original vampire-based supernatural MU*

Thought:
The Abandonded: A 'Caste' of Vampires sired, but never fully brought into 'proper' society, they can be elevated to the ranks of the Houses, by being adopted, and their blood 'changed' over, but prior to that they're a low caste of being. Somewhere after the chosen humans, but above... 'regular humans'. -

@Songtress
That's what the Peregrini are; you're a vampire, but you have no recognition, no House, and are roughly outside the social structure insofar as doing anything hyper important. -
@Bobotron
You already had me covered ok.What about deities and temples? Religion for Vampires would be important ( and its something that I think would be pushed upon with all this Roman-vibe in a modern world.
Are Vampires ak nown thing? Like does your average Joe Human known about his Vampire neighbors. down the way?
Are there Blood Bank for Vampires? So they can get food, and the 'cleaner' vampire blood can be parceled out for healing purposes ( I assume it must adapt to the 'hosts' body, but can be stripped of any of the 'extreme' vampire properties, so they're not making new vampires.

You already had me covered ok.I'm on the ball. Plus I like the concept of using what the Romans did with their immigrants before they were allowed citizenship or those who they had not established official relations with; the Peregrini were that thing, and it really fit.

I hadn't written the file up on this, but yes, there are temples and worship of the Roman gods is a thing, though it's more heavily done as ritual (the city's big gatherings, for example, would start with a dedication to Pluto, who granted them eternal life). Part of the Aedile's position would be helping priests (which are not, currently, a considered city position, but I think its' needed) deal with temples. Remember, the Roman vibe is only the vampire society; normal mortal society is still normal mortal society.
ETA: There are also things in the vein of old Rome; there are public baths, there are forums/gathering places, and in large enough cities there are often arenas where the vampires view gladiatorial matches between each other, or their human servii, or even weirder shit (House Axius often uses their blood to bring statues to life as servii, and they will use those as gladiators, while House Gaius finds it a point of honor to uphold their martial prowess in the arena).
Are Vampires ak nown thing? Like does your average Joe Human known about his Vampire neighbors. down the way?
Average Joe Mortal is unaware (though like most supernatural worlds, some people have more inklings than others). Some branches of various world governments are aware, but it's very... hush-hush... and many cities hierarchies often have accords with the supernaturals in the area (think the council of witches, werewolves, vampires and humans in New Orleans, in The Originals). In our setting, NYC, the city council knows... they work with Section 7 to keep it out of the public, and the Consul and princeps work directly with them.

Vampires have no issues drinking from blood in blood banks; you can use the Vessels asset to represent personal access to it, and there is SOME public blood ala the clinic in VtM Bloodlines. Otherwise, the vampire blood is considered sacred, like ambrosia to the gods, and is shared for very few things (intimacy and siring being the two primary reasons). Siring is also typically a Big Deal; there's usually a celebration, a feast, and gift-giving to the new vampire.
ETA: As noted above, vampire blood is powerful. It's concentrated 'life' after a fashion. It's what animates a vampire. They can also use the blood to empower a human as a servus, or an animal, granting them additional strength and ability; and those who know how can use their blood to bring inanimate things to life. House Axius makes statue-guardians using the blood, and there was a historical record of House Asinius bringing the gargoyles of a cathedral to life to destroy the Houses in a city.

Goddamn, another vampire game? Sigh...
Come on, guys.

God damn, another complaint from someone whose biggest contribution to this forum has been a thread dedicated to bitching nostalgically about Firan... Come on, guys.
Seriously, people like to play what they like to play. If you don't, don't play it. Make what you like and if it is good, people will go play. Or at least make a fucking thread stating exactly what you would like to play and asking for interested parties in running it...
... anything but another post complaining people don't share your views on being tired of the same games.

Contributing to this forum is kind of like contributing to the well being of Jonestown. It's a fucking forum about pretendy time games. Stop taking this shit personally.
Here's a novel idea....
Make a vampire game.
Keep it open.
Simple as that. As horrid as Firan was at least it was creative and original.

I'll never understand this sort of thing. Why are you hanging around on a forum you actively think is worthless? I don't take it personally--I haven't taken any of this personally. I'm just kind of sick of you only popping up to complain about "no one does anything original anymore". Maybe you shouldn't take it personally.
Or do. It was directed at you...

Yes. Originality and creativity totally overshadow anything horrible that might be associated. I'll keep that in mind. Rofl.

Whoa Nellie. I go to work and shit explodes.
So, while I'm at work and writing on the thing, are there any other topics people would like to see expanded on?
-
@BigDaddyAmin I'm a big fan of originality! Where can I play your original game?
-
I think we need a discussion, on what humans known, how they know. How this all works.
I've never been the biggest fan of 'hidden SUPERS'.
I like the idea of Anita Blake's : 'Supers are our in the Open' there are laws and rules for the general populace and people you CALL when shit happens.I've found that much more interesting scenario, than things hiding in the shadow and you need to cover it up with 'Section 7'.
So I vote things are out of hiding. -
@Songtress I like the Harry Dresden take. Supernaturals are both hidden from the regular population but really, honestly wildly known. I'd like to play in a Dresden verse Mush to be honest. As long as there was no player Harry Dresden running around being super Harry.
-
@DnvnQuinn
Or something like that! That might be as interesting. I mean people knowing where to go.
But soemthing to differentiate it from Beings Hiding.
-
@DnvnQuinn See, I'd like a game set in Dresden-world as long as it contained no Dresden-support characters (except maybe some of the villains and groups, but exclusively as NPCs).
-
@Arkandel Yeah that would work too. There's an anita game out there, why no harry game!?
-
@DnvnQuinn I am no sage but probably because no one has made one.
</sage>
-
There are Dresden games.
-
@DnvnQuinn
If I had a game it would probably offend people's liberal sensibilities.
You are on a forum where people roleplay fucking the dead. The degeneracy here is like a circus for me.

Congratulations, you have sucessfully compared apples to oranges.
