@ganymede
I really do love the look of the game so far and that gameplay footage, looked pretty good. I am wondering if it was scripted or not but it was still really good. Also, that was the most realistic kiss in a video game that I have seen yet.
-
The gameplay looks pretty good, even if scripted. It looks damn good for the PS4, if a bit dark.
As for the cut-scene, let's face it: we all love the Last of Us for its cut-scenes and acting, and this trailer did not disappoint.

I bought Vampyr. I am not enjoying it as much as I thought I would. I wish I could refund it but I went over the 2 hour limit.
The idea of 'destroying relationships you've forged for XP' is interesting, but it falls flat in that literally all you can raise is combat. Nothing you learn can be used outside of combat and combat... is ridiculously easy. It's just a matter of pattern recognition on a simpler scale than Dark Souls.
Except for the odd glitches that mean you get hit even when you shouldn't. Which also irked me.

@ganymede
It really is. Naughty Dog knows how to write emotion into their stories and convey that into their games. I'm eager to see what they give us in an unfolding story. -

Combat is actually rather hard for me, but then I've been resistant to kill people. I'm trying to focus on that aspect of being a healer, not cold-blooded-killer. And it ramped up fast for me (but I played about 8? hours the first day I had it).
I will say, I've seen a hint that killing too much brings in something much bigger and worse, so.
The developers said it scales in difficulty based on what you do.
As for Last of Us....... I really need a PS4 soon!

So been playing FTL finally, surprisingly addictive game for how 'simple' it is. Unlocked a few ships now, still haven't survived the final system yet with any ship lol.
-
@auspice I haven't killed any citizens. It's still not hard, just time consuming. You dodge dodge dodge hit.
And the easiest way to stay relevant in combat is to raise your endurance and keep your weapons upgraded.

Yeah a good amount of stamina, dodge and strike, add in the heal and an attack like the claw or the blood spear and you are gold in combat.
I like using a two handed club in one slot and sword/pistol combo in the other weapons slot. Upgrading your weapons for more stun (club) or more blood soak (blades and stuff) has been a great help.

Blood Cauldron looks underpowered, as well, but it allows you to sustain in fights much better than its flashier cousins.

Try Deep Space Derelicts and Into The Breach.
I'll see you in a few years.

They do, but it's the emotion in their rendering and voice acting that makes their stories even more special. I don't know how they so vividly capture all of Ashley Johnson's eye movements in that scene, but damn if I didn't know exactly how Ellie felt when she said that no one was looking at her.

@ganymede Hehe I finally got the Kestrel to the last boss ship! Killed it twice! But... really needed a way to repair my hull before engaging the third time... dangit.
-
I have actually been revisiting Divinity Original Sin 2 multiplayer with my brother and one of my friends, we just finished Act 1.
I had forgotten how fun the game was and how in depth things get, also how hilarious/amusing it is when somebody accidentally heals the undead character or 'accidentally' unleashes some manner of horrific elemental conflagration that ignites two other players' characters.

PSA. (People be data mining your info, probably, yo!)
-
Fallout 76 looks like it will be including Super Mutants. In Virginia. When they are being created. On the west coast.
Super lazy, Bethesda.
-
@thenomain They have shown a disregard for canon as far back as Fallout 3. Mass market bullshit that people will gobble up. Fans will buy it because we buy anything Fallout. Casuals will buy it because it is a big budget game. Soon Supermutants will be boning and making baby supermutants because lolfuckyourcanonthatswhy.

Because it bears repeating, Game companies are putting Spyware in your games (And if you play video games, you probably have a game with it in it.)
-
@insomnia Thank you for posting that. I was unaware. I have multiple games on the list of those who used/still use Red Shell and am uninstalling all of them.
Fuck spyware.
-
@admiral I figured. I posted it as PSA up earlier but...
-
The Steam Summer Sale...
So it begins.
-
To make it easy, here's an article that lists which games have pledged to remove RedShell and which are still using it.
