We're gonna get details on this, this weekend...

@Ghost
Oh fuck yeah!The two games I had hoped might make an appearance at E3 aren't. Mount and Blade: Bannerlord, the devs are skipping again this year. And PGI does not think that E3 is worth the resources doing a booth to get some marketing done for Mechwarrior 5, with other high profile games taking the spotlight.

Back in the day of Vampire: The Masquerade: Bloodlines, Cyanide Studios had planned a Werewolf follow-up. I wanna say around 1997/98 it was planned, but the project got shut down. Fast-forward to NOW, where Paradox has the IP. All of the sudden we are getting Bloodlines 2 and fiiiiinally a current-gen W:tA game.
This is absolutely happening. A W:tA game is coming. By the end of this weekend you may even have a trailer.
Nerdy correction: Cyanide wasn't making the game in 98, it was Capcom. There was a PC game attempt that also failed due to another studio going under. Some studios have been working at this game for a while and failing, but it appears that we now have something to actually play.
I'm not a huge fan of Cyanide Studios, but so long as it isnt some microtransaction overhyped cell phone game i'll be buying this game, if even for collection's sake. Then again you never know, Cyanide may have hired some hot talent or bought on to some hot engine and this could end up GotY.

@Ghost
Given how amazing Paradox has been as a dev and publisher, I think that the World of Darkness IPs are going to get some amazing love that they deserve. Here's crossing my fingers for a Wraith-souls style game, because I think that would be amazing.Edit: Amazing.

@Jaded With a housing mini game where you build your home/fortress brick by brick with every soul you have killed/taken.
-
-
@Ghost Yeah, I knew about the old game...I did NOT know they were doing a new game!
-
@Alamias It's like a little SURPRISE PARTY! Enjoy it.

TFW your favorite game publisher has a Steam sale and you cheer only to discover you freaking own everything they made (that's on Steam) already. Siiiiiiiigh. Fine. DON'T take my money.

Your wallet thanks you.

Honestly, Steam Guard is the most effective thing ever at protecting me from myself. My phone is all the way over THERE so I guess I'm not looking at sales.
-
My phone has started sending me notifications when items on my wishlist are on sale. Siiigh.

It’s a conspiracy of technology against mankind.

RUMOR HAS IT... That 'From Software' (Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Sekiro) is going to unveil a new game in a few weeks at E3.
From what I'm reading, the likelihood (least likely to most likely) is as follows:
- Sekiro 2 (yeaaaah prolly not. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice just came out in March)
- Bloodborne 2 (While this is #1 on my wishlist as a FromSoftware fan, Sony actually owns this IP and is stated to not be present at E3. Presumably they are working on PS5, but it is unlikely that they wouldn't be there for a Bloodborne 2 reveal)
- Dark Souls IV (it's been a while and DS3 killed it in sales)
- Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice DLC reveal
- Entirely new IP reveal (Sekiro is a new IP, but in the same vein as some of their older games. Could this be a trend or a one-off?)
- OLD IP reveal (Armored Core, Tenchu, Otogi, King's Field)
Who are we kidding, though? If frickin Borderlands doesn't own E3, then it's because they didn't even try to.
We have a winner! It has been leaked FROM SOFTWARE is going to/is developing a SOULS style game that is being co-written by the minds behind Dark Souls and George R. R. Martin. It will be called: "Elden Ring"
This means 3 things:
- New SOULS style game. Squee.
- Add this to the pile of "YET MORE SHIT GRRM IS DOING INSTEAD OF FINISHING HIS FUCKING BOOKS" and...
- ....somebody should make a mush in this setting really quickly before the Blood of Dragons people do.

So, Divinity 2. Any advice on starting character? Take one of the potential companions as a main character or make a custom one? And if the latter, what kind? There's a million options.
-
@TNP I'd say take one of the potential companions to start with, if only because the story then involves your character in more personal and unique ways that you can't access while just having them as a companion. And you can play any of the characters as any class and tweak them to your heart's content anyway, so you're not locked out of any specific playstyles (undead might count, but you still have one undead option).
