You know my first time playing FF through I kept Black Belt with the Iron Nunchuks the whole game thinking "why did they not give me any upgraded weapons for him?" and then gave him a sword after his promotion. It was only later when my grandmother was playing it that she told me, "he hits harder without weapons."I felt so dumb.

I want to like Chrono Trigger.
I do like Chrono Trigger.
I just can't get into playing it because of it's quasi-real-time combat shenanigans.

@Thenomain Chrono Trigger is the one you can buy on Steam. Chrono Cross is the one you have to scour pawn shops to find either a PS1 or one of the super rare backwards-compatible PS2's then further scour the internet to find a copy of it. AKA The one with Lynx and Harlequin in it.

@Too-Old-For-This If you get a PS3, you can actually just buy Chrono Cross in the online PS store adn download it onto the PS3.

Chrono Trigger is the good one, Chrono Cross is the one that thinks that applying an accent filter counts as unique character development.

@Roz I already have the backwards-compatible PS2. There's other games that I wanted that are either PS1 or PS2 games, so it worked out!

And then be guilt-free when you download the DS ROM and emulator, because dear god even the updated Chrono Trigger on Steam had audio so choppy that it was giving me an honest to goodness headache.

I played the Steam version of Chrono Trigger and thought it looked and sounded gorgeous? I know it didn't look great at first release, but then they came back in with a visual mode for the original pixel look instead of the terrible blurred filter, and it honestly looked gorgeous on a 4k monitor. I didn't notice anything weird about the audio (and I streamed it all, including to a number of long-time CT fans, and nobody mentioned anything sounding weird). It was my first time playing though and just a couple months ago, so there had been time for patches since the initial Steam release.

The developers of Mordhau, according to their kickstarter goals, have 'adding women and PoC' characters on their goals.
One of the devs recently tweeted that when they add them, they'll have a 'toggle' that allows you to not see them in game. To please the racist, n-word spamming alt-right masses who play the game.
The company immediately jumped up in the official game twitter after the guy deleted the tweet and claimed he never said any such thing because the bad press was starting to pile up.
Avoid this shitstorm of a game. I've learned my lesson. I just wish I hadn't wasted 30 dollars. In the future, I'll know to avoid all medieval sword-and-axe type games because of the racist-ass 4chan Deus Vult crowd.
