Restricting access to a download for Patreons only is apparently not? I don't know.

ETA: someone would have to care enough to actually do something about it, also. I'm irritated and think it's really not classy at all, but I don't think it's malicious or something that ought to be reported to someone who's going to come after them or anything. They don't need the consequences that come from that, they just need to not be jerks and pull it from the people who were helping test it.

I'm sure I'm way behind the times but Star Wars: The Old Republic is extremely fun. That it's completely free makes it even better.

I was thinking yesterday while playing that I really wish I had a private server sometimes.

I've got like.... 6? People I play this with now with a number more either considering getting the game or who haven't installed it yet @Paradox

I tried playing SWtOR again recently and it just didn't grab me.

But ffxiv is so I'm happy. And! It went ftp up to level 60 this week!

It is one of my favorite games. The Jedi Knight and Sith Warrior stories are hands down peak Bioware.

@Sunny I started with the Jedi Consular and am still on Chapter 1. But the prologue was so fun (and I read not even the best of the lot), I really want to play them all.

Oh, gosh. Yeah, that one is a personal favorite, but the two really are that good. Though, I say they are peak Bioware-- the rest of them are only slightly below that. I have one of everything and they're all current on story; I'm playing a different MMO right now, so I only sub to SWTOR when a new story-content patch drops. Which I'm waiting for right now. Sigh. I was actually really really really happy with Onslaught.

Nope! Though altering the choices you make can very swiftly end up with a different story anyway.

@Sunny So play a light side sage or a dark side shadow and you get very different stories. Yeah, makes sense. So it's not just 8 stories but really more like 16.

I would actually say it's more like -- 20? 24? Because there's some things in some of the stories where they're just Choices and...

yeah. there's a lot. and it matters. the vast majority of the choices actually matter in terms of how you interact with the story.

I'm a fan of Sith Warrior storyline.

The Smuggler wasn't as fun as I was hoping it'd be.
