MUSHClient questions
-
Can someone give me a step by step walk through for MUSHClient on how to:
Have links in your incoming text window populate so you can click on them and have them spawn a browser page?
Spawn windows for channels?
Thanks!

@Cupcake to my knowledge neither of those options are available to MUSHclient. Unless I had used it for a decade, until recently and never discovered the options to do it.

@Cupcake
Typically links you see on games are due to that game using heavy Pueblo support, which does links for websites and commands.As far as parsing for other windows, I don't do it, but it seems possible from this discussion on the MUSHclient page:

I know it can be done - re, url links being able to populate, but I don't know how.

Check out http://www.mushclient.com/forum/?id=7973, that might help?
http://www.mushclient.com/plugins/Hyperlink_URL2.xml is a direct link to a plugin for it.

Unfortunately, the links to the actual add ons appear dead. Ah, well.

@Cupcake
I was able to download that hyperlink one and install it via File -> Plugins to test.. -
Figured it out. Thanks for your help, @Bobotron !

@Cupcake
You're welcome. I tested it and it works (highlights and underlines links in white). I'm also digging around for a plugin one but you may be SOL on that one. -
I was provided a plugin that does what you want. It's actually really nice and easy to set up.
Download it from here: http://qon.pennmush.org/chatgrabber/
Once you enable the plugin, you'll have to set it up.
Right click the mini windows and hit 'update channels'.
After that's done, right click again and hit channels and choose the ones you want to send to the window (likely all of them, you can shift+click or ctrl+click)
That should default send them to the mini window.
If it's still echoing in the main window, click echo to turn it off.
You can send pages and local OOC to there under the Other communications tab.
I've been testing it this morning. Seems like it also linkifies URLs.To resize, the bottom-right of the window is a sizing block. Click it and drag to resize.
And enjoy. Seems like it grabs all colors and everything too.
EDIT: You may want to change the font as well; it starts out really small. I just set it to FixedSys at 9 like the core MUSHclient and off we went.
