I knew Tia and Zeynasi. I was aspalathos (Sp? idfk. something like that). Welcome to the board.
-
@alzie Thanks! I feel like I never got my end-of-Firan bitching out, so I was pleased to pop in here.

@tempest The WORST of the WORST, I gather. From what I've been told.
I remember my first scene with you. You paged me that you were excited that I took over playing your cousin and invited me to a scene, and then spent quite a lot of it berating me for things the previous player said and did, and demanding explanation. Super fun.
-
@kanye-qwest I'm not sure who you were, and I certainly don't remember every interaction I ever had, but that doesn't sound very fair. It also doesn't entirely sound like something I'd do, but -- it was a long time ago and maybe I did, or maybe things were misinterpreted. Either way, we could have/should have paused and I could have / should have explained; I'm sorry about that.
-
I think that was Firan staff-alt 'welcome a new player off the roster' 101. Taleena pulled it on me twice!
'Hi, I see you've taken (name), let me welcome you to your first scene by shaming you publicly for everything your past players did, nevermind that it's not actually documented on your sheet so you can't possibly react to it or defend yourself. Never-mind that our characters are friends, family, or allies and I have no coherent motivation for this behavior. Enjoy your stay!'
-
@bored I can't speak to the rest of staff, certainly not Lisa, she wasn't ever very active while I was around, but if I publicly was a dick OOCly like this, as I said, that's not very fair, and I'm sorry. I certainly hope it was unintentional, an accident, or a misunderstanding.
-
@wahoo It was usually done ICly, but obviously with some OOC mean-spiritedness behind it (ie, a senior player with tons of both IC and OOC knowledge 'showing up' someone new, belittling them for sport, whatever).
Firan's staff and co, as a group, were terrible. They did a lot of bad things knowingly, not accidentally. You're in that category too, so you can't write it all off as 'misunderstandings.' But shitty culture creates a shitty norm of behavior, and obviously few of the people themselves were really 'monsters' as much as we might have demonized them in the moment. Whatever earned your 'infamy' was basically standard operating procedure. All kind of old news now.
-
@bored I certainly respect your feelings about this, though I'd point out that - at least some of the time - there are two sides. As guilty as staff was at not looking at players' feelings and taking those into account, sometimes people did get an unfair shake. Staff too.
But hey, I'm not really getting specifics here so I can't go into any and talk about those dual sides. If you have a beef, I'm happy to hear it - PM me. If not, you know, nice to see you again, thanks for chiming in.
-
@wahoo There were tons of shitty players and I'm sure everything had two sides. Yet staff was still, on the whole, very corrupt and abusive, and if you want to push back at that notion in general... well, good luck!
Beyond that, I'm 100% on board with the past being the past and all having a laugh. I doubt anyone cares enough to warrant your 'terror' over people who might still hold a grudge.
But that's also not a back door where you can slip in a claim that everything was 'accidental' or a 'misunderstanding' unchallenged. It wasn't. You did some unethical things intentionally. It's cool, all of us have. Just don't pretend your reputation was unearned.
-
@bored Again, you're invited to speak to me about what, exactly, you say I did. Otherwise. shrug
-
@wahoo OK, forgery code, go.
There's a player you (and your boyfriend) cheated to murder/cover up said murder, and pretty sure she posts here. Seems like a great place to start if you're looking to 'clear the air,' if you want to. I'm not gonna debate the facts, but it says a lot about what your intentions here are.
-
I'm not sure what you mean by forgery code, but I'll address the other thing.
My boyfriend does not exist; he has not been my boyfriend for a very long time. That said, sure, we dated while we played Firan, but that's not cheating. Neither is murder. I'm not sure what you're referring to, or who you're referring to, because again: I'm not getting much in the way of specifics.
I won't die on a hill that Brad never cheated, though it would surprise me to learn that he did. I can say, truthfully, I did not cheat at Firan. I did a lot of things that made people unhappy ICly, absolutely, and I'm not a warm & fuzzy cuddle bucket OOCly, but none of these things are bad.
Re: my intentions, dude, you know, I've said several times -- hey, PM me, let's talk about it. You've declined to do so, which is fine, but you've come stomping into a thread immediately after I offered another player an apology and trashed on me, so - you know. Again. shrug I'm going to decline to address this and you further here, but if you'd like to chat constructively, by all means, again, message me.
-
I have no idea what anyone is talking about. That said, @bored is coming off seriously but strangely unspecifically clinging to whatever did or did not happen.
-
@ixokai If you knew anything about the situation, its not unspecific. Her boyfriend was a Wizard who was fired from staff for altering the game's forgery code in a way that allowed their two alts to arrange and get away with a murder. She can pretend she has no clue but it's pretty much the thing she was 'infamous' for. You can't claim infamy and then pretend the thing you were infamous for is somehow obscure or confusing.
@wahoo I'm not interested in PMs, it wasn't even something that happened to me or anyone I played with. But you're not coming clean by pretending ignorance and trying to push discussion out of public view.
-
@wahoo It actually was fun. Been good. Busy with RL mostly and whenever I have the time, I've been sucked into Arx. Before Firan blew up, I had the chance to play the last Tia. I'll have to say she was quite a lot of fun to play.
-
Hahah! She was ridiculous.
Did I ever tell you about the time she social imp'd Ojitar into killing all the Gold Dragon clan's horses?!
-
@wahoo Nope! I played the older, past time to have children, still very much into pink, version of Tia. Socialite with an awesome closet and lots of little dogs who wore tiaras.

@sparks They had it coming!!!!!

@deviante Oh god, the dogs. I forgot about ...Lord Snufflepants or whatever stupid things I named them.
