      Double-post:
      So tired of political calls.

No I don't live in that state anymore.
Don't live in that one either.
      Or that one.

No, I'm not supporting that candidate. (in TX you don't have to register for a party so I get calls from EVERYONE.)
No, I don't want to join your phone canvassing.
Didn't I tell you guys to take me off your call list last week?

I am super, super glad that my phone does warn me now on some calls that they're a Political Call (just like it warns some are Spam Calls), but I did just get a text message addressed to someone who isn't even me and I've had this number for 13 years.

Like at least get your numbers accurate ffs.

@Auspice I am so glad I am in a position I can flip the little digital switch on my phone that says to just ignore numbers that are not in my contact list. I bypass so many spam calls that way.

          Unfortunately, since I'm job-hunting, I can't do that. 😞

So I SUPER appreciate the ones that the OS flags as Political or Spam and most of those from the state my # is in (SC) can be safely ignored (no recruiters are gonna call me from there). But any from TX? CA? NY? NJ? IL(Chicago)? They could be for jobs since recruiters call from a lot of those areas. πŸ˜•

Yeah, I know, which is why I said I was happy to be in the position I could do that. I hope you are able to find something soon so the magical switch can be put to good use for you as well!

Working as a substitute teacher is starting to wear me down a bit. Waking up at 5-6 every work day, only to have to wait for two hours to see if I even get booked anywhere that day sucks. And then having to go to an entierly new place of work more than half the time, new place, new people, new students and try to be some manner of authority in a class where half the time I have been given no or barely any instruction as to what the students are supposed to actually do. I mean I am a glorified babysitter for a gang of kids, but it is hard to keep them in their seats if I can't even give them something to do.

It's nothing terrible or anything, I am just coming up on a year of this and the uncertainty and a lack of consistency in my days, my work and my paycheck. I'm sure some people thrive in this type of waking up everyday having no idea where you will be or what you will do work, but it isn't the long term life for me.

Substitute teaching is like... all of the uncertainty of ADHD and all of the powerlessness of executive disfunction. But professionally!

I used to do agency nursing, where you'd get booked, go to random new places and it really suited my family life then but... now? Hell no.

I wish I could take a picture of the official note my 'supervisor' left for me today. It mentions 'Antifa terrorists may be rioting again this weekend'.

There is a tropical storm lined up at Louisiana so perfectly that the middle of the cone has the eye region passing over my house.

I'm gonna lose power this weekend and I'm gonna be pissed.

Above post: life is kind of stressful right now. I vented. Then I realised this probably isn't the place for that.

So, on the topic of RL peeves, disgruntlements and irks, I guess I'll just say life is weirdly, ludicrously stressful right now.

It is time for our yearly contract bonuses. The client gives them to us every year. All that it requires is our supervisor putting in the paperwork.

This new guy says 'With the fake shutdown and propaganda the client is losing money. We can't ask them for bonuses'.

I calmly explained to him that the client profitablity actually has gone up during this period. And that we have put ourselves at risk for the client. Bonuses make sense.

'I said no. And if you go over my head I am going to have you transferred out of here'.

So there goes 600 bucks I guess.

I'm pretty sure the new guy's boss will want a reasonable explanation as to why a request for more money to the company is getting tossed away because some dipshit would rather adhere to his own conspiracy theory than do what is best for the employees.
