So yeah, warning to folks. People are spoiling the movie in random YT comments.

      People still read YT comments?

The few times I've done so I regretted. People there are beyond toxic.

@Ganymede People still read comments outside of forum spaces period? I have regretted it every time I dared bother, literally everywhere.

        Oh fucking well.

          @Sparks

It was accurate. A poor summation, but it did reveal a major plot point. Like, try taking End Game and summing it up in a single poor sentence. That's what this commentator was doing.

It was super shitty. And yes, clearly blatantly malicious. Probably some kid who thought they were being funny.

As for Gany's question: y'all debate sports at length on the board here. People do it in YT comments on highlight videos. πŸ˜‰

The comment threads on some of the channels I follow on YT are quite all right. One of my favorite mash up artists usually has some pretty great comments, even. It's really the viral videos that have the super shitty comments. Wherever they'll get the most eyes, ofc.

I guess I never thought to look there because I prefer debating people with minimal language skills and rudimentary analytical ability. If I wanted to read Don Cherry's commentary, I'd just listen to it while drinking a pint of bourbon and grinding my genitals with a power sander.

I literally installed Comment Snob as an extension on my browser. If there's three or more spelling mistakes, it filters the post from view. YouTube is way better now.

@Aria I already remove youtube comments from the screen entirely. But I'd be interested to know if Comment Snob worked on other platforms, like Facebook.

                  From their overview:

"Filters out undesirable comments from the Web.
Comment Snob filters out undesirable comments from the Web. It comes with support for YouTube by default, but you can add support for many other sites by installing Comment Snob rules. For each rule that you install, you can choose from the following filtering parameters:

                  • Number of spelling mistakes
                  • All capital letters
                  • No capital letters
                  • Doesn't start with a capital letter
                  • Excessive punctuation (!!!! ????)
                  • Excessive capitalization
                  • Profanity

Honestly, my rules setting are pretty low - all caps, no caps, 3+ spelling mistakes. Like, I'm not playing spelling and grammar police with them despite the fact that I very much could, and it's still had a pretty profound effect on my internet experience. I actually enjoy reading the comments section on some videos and articles now because while there's still perfectly literate assholes and trolls in there, filtering out the worst of the worst and the utterly pointless leaves you with interesting viewpoints or takeaways that are a lot easier to follow as a conversation. Do recommend.

All the Endgame stuff is starting to get on my nerves. On both sides of the fence. People who start jumping on otbers screaming "no spoilers" when someone just wants to say "it was good", are fucking annoying and immature.

People who purposefully spoil things for a super over hyped movie they are well aware people are super looking forward to are shitbirds.

Come on people. At the end of the day it's just a goddamned movie.

Our clients moved to a brand new subdivision that is halfway still being built. There's no tree's, no fences, half the places have lawns. I can hear -everything- and -everyone- from god knows how many streets over and the wind just smacks the house and it's so annoying. Utterly annoying. And they have no curtains up so their neighbours can see everything. They've been here a week so they haven't gotten some stuff up yet. Like curtains.

My kingdom for some fucking tree's to provide a wind and noise break.

@Cobaltasaurus The same goes for anyone that acts incredulous when I tell them I've no intention of seeing the film. Why is it so hard to imagine someone that doesn't give a shit about the thing you like?

                                  No.shit.

That's why I got so fucking annoyed at the crowd outside the theater loudly shouting "No spoilers!"

Everyone departing was talking quietly, bent heads. And mostly in vague terms, like: "It went by so fast!"
"It was such a good send off."
"It was even better than I expected."

Those were the sort of things I managed to overhear. But everyone was being really respectful leaving the theater.....only to still have a crowd screaming in their face.

Which is why I was so fucking tempted to spoil shit for them. Because they were being dicks.

                                  Telling you I enjoyed a movie isn't a fucking spoiler. 😐

                                      More 'weird' than irk:

Working in a windowless, cold (high AC due to all the equipment) room staring at monitors, two of which showed regions that had heavy snow (sorry IL and Ontario) all day did not prepare me for stepping out into 80+ degree weather.

I mean, I enjoyed Glass. If that ruins the movie, trust me: it was M. Night Shyamalan's fault.
