Hey, all I said was people were bitching about it - I didn't even mean commentators, I meant whoever wrote it.

It's a movie. If we start nitpicking those enough for conforming to modern standards of hygiene or beauty then we should have a beef about all the other non-contemporary ones where every peasant has perfect teeth, etc.

TBF, neither comic nor cartoon version of Wonder Woman had pit hair either. NONE of the women there had any type of body hair outside of the usual long, flowing locks and eyebrows. Maybe they were MADE without it.

There is a picture in the new Mage book of a punk girl Libertine. She had shaved pits. I've never been so disappointed in someone not drawing a woman with unshaven pits before, but man I was that day. It just looks wrong.

Wonder Woman's lack of pit hair doesn't even register on my radar of critical gender politics. But hell, people wanted to boycott Rogue One because it was comparing Trump to the Empire, somehow. Which is to say: Everyone is kind of stupid.

@Thenomain I can agree to that disappointment. I just don't see where an island of women that were all personally created by some uberbeing, need to have pit and/or leg hair. Said uberbeing makes 'em how it wants 'em.
