Which Game of Thrones alumni do you think will have the better career going forward?
-
@Arkandel — Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams.
-
@Arkandel Sophie Turner and Emilia Clarke. They've already made their ways into some major franchises and, frankly, they are young and beautiful in a very Hollywood-approved way. (That is not meant to insult their abilities as actresses, because I think they're both very talented: just acknowledging that success in Hollywood is UNFORTUNATELY not just about that. For instance, Maisie Williams is also great, but I could foresee her not quite finding big Hollywood success the same way because she doesn't FIT THE MOLD quite as well for a young actress.)

Maisie Williams
I want Maisie Williams as a hardcore action star kicking the ass of (or kicking ass along side) people like Jon Bernthal. Not 100% sure why but i could def see her as a badass murdery action star. Actually I do know why, what she did to the Frey's. Fuck pretty princesses, she is badass.

As far as I know, she's still signed on to play Ellie in the proposed live-action version of The Last of Us.

@Ganymede I see a new Gany PB coming in the future.

Peter Dinklage.
-
If Dark Phoenix does as badly as its tracking, Turner might be in some real trouble - the franchise's flop has already seemingly done in Lawrence. It seems likely that Disney/Marvel will want to do as much as it possibly can to get distance from a bunch of terribly-received films, at any rate.
In other news, Ian Glenn will continue to be in every movie you totally forgot he was in.

The thing is... many of the tops stars from GoT either already had or have begun to have better careers already. Sophie Turner, Emilia Clarke, Peter Dinklage, Lena Headey, Iain Glen, Alfie Allen, Natalie Dormer, Jason Momoa.... they'll all done and been in blockbuster/cult classic movies in recent years (whether they are remembered or not) even Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Rose Leslie, and Rory McCann have been seen in major movies in the last few years. So I guess that leaves.. what.. Kit Harington, Isaac Hempstead, John Bradley? Maybe a few others? Shit, even Gwendolyn Christie has been in Star Wars now. Nathalie Emmanuel has been in both the Maze Runner trilogy and the Fast & the Furious franchise. Maybe Carice van Houten? She's got three movies in post-production for this year, though... Maisie has seen steady work since she started on GoT. She was in three movies and two shorts last year. They just hit post-production on The New Mutants, in which she plays Wolfsbane. She was also in a show called Gen: Lock this year. And she's currently filming a movie called The Owners.
Seems like most everyone has already received a fairly substantial boost to their career.
@Thenomain Peter Dinklage was just in Infinity Wars and Three Billboards, he's currently doing voicework for two animated films based on hot IP's (Angry Birds and The Croods), he's rumored to be doing The Wild Bunch, is in pre-production for The Thicket, and has been announced in The Dwarf. He's made his mark and is here to stay.
-
@Too-Old-For-This I forget all the things I had seen Peter Dinklage in before this. I recall Nip/Tuck off the top of my head, but there was definitely something else as well. He's been working fairly steadily in television for a while, and it's great to see him getting further still.

Peter Dinklage was here before S1E1 hit the air, although it definitely did a lot to boost his profile.
He got a SAG nomination in '03 for The Station Agent, the same year he appeared in the (baffling) Tiptoes with Paula Arquette, Matthew McConaughey, Kate Beckinsale, and Gary Oldman. (Gary Oldman plays a dwarf. Who is McConaughey's twin brother. Kate Beckinsale struggles with the decision of whether to keep McConaughey's baby when she learns his entire family are dwarves seriously you have to see this shit)

@insomniac7809 I wasn't saying that he hadn't been a known quantity before. He was in Elf in 2003, Lassie remake in 2005, Death at a Funeral in 2007, Chronicles of Narnia in 2008, the OTHER Death at a Funeral in 2010, also when he did Pete Smalls is Dead. Ice Age was 2012, but close enough. And my personal fave... Knights of Badassdom in 2013. I'm just saying, he's hit massive mainstream audiences by being in a Marvel movie.
