It's 100% why I like ersatz as a word. It's just fun to say.
But my favorite word is (not surprising anyone) auspice. I like the sound of it. I like the letter makeup of it. I like the definition. It was 'favorite word' before I'd ever played WoD.

Moist.
In second place, damp.
-
- defenestration
- teledildonics
In both cases, because: '...there's a word for, specifically, that?'
Fuck surely deserves an honorable mention.
I liked synergy until it became a buzzword, at which point it skipped over to the hate/wince column.

@Auspice As someone who has attempted suicide a number of times and still has suicidal ideation regularly, I can't get behind that one, sorry.
-
Pleonasm.
Anamnesis.
Deliquesce. -
Cacophony.
Why? The hard Cs mostly. I did Attic Greek at uni so I love words I can break down the etymology of.

Along with eldritch, I like ephemeral. The two fit together for me somehow.
I also love words with 'ae.'
Aegis.
Aesthetic.

Jaeger.I like ephemeral but I hate how they used it in nWoD/CofD.
It feels like someone wanted to say ethereal, got it confused with ephemeral, and no one else said anything.
-
P.S.
Ether.

It feels like someone wanted to say ethereal, got it confused with ephemeral, and no one else said anything.I mean. Their use of 'Auspice' is also weird. I get it ('born under the auspices of...') but I also don't get it because it feels so arbitrary.

Ephemeral literally means "transitory or short-lived". Spirits/Ghosts are... not... that. In fact, they are pretty permanent unless something goes and actively eats/destroys them, which is difficult without very specific tools they literally used a word that means the opposite of the thing.

Sanguine - it means both optimistic and bloody, which allows for some fun wordplay, as the do with the daedric prince Sanguine in Elder Scrolls.
