@BetterJudgment said: @Shebakoby said: @BetterJudgment said: I had never had Swad amba haldi pickle (fresh turmeric pickle) before buying a jar as an experiment a few days ago. It is great. Is it whole pickled turmeric root? It is pickled slices of turmeric root, which is like very crisp carrot but more flavorful. oooh i think i can get my hands on some of that!

 Me. I love me today!

@Luna said: Me. I love me today! Yep. Definitely an engineer's daughter. Self-love is pretty much the defining characteristic of an engineer.

@WTFE Oh snap!! It's truth though.

Here, @Luna: I'll give you something to make fun of. I still own these:
I still use them on occasion. (Very infrequent occasion, yes, but still on occasion.)
-

@WTFE Holy hell dude. You still have and use a slide rule? Damn. It's pretty sweet with its case and everything. I kinda can't even mock you. Like, I have a bred in level of respect now.

I have taken peanut butter, and mixed it with "peanut butter cheese" (Norwegian Gjetost whey cheese which looks and kinda tastes almost like peanut butter). IT IS AMAZING.

@Luna Not a slide rule. Two. They're both museum pieces (iff a museum out there had the grit to prise them from my cold, dead fingers, that is).

Payday. That means SPAM, fresh veggies and lunch from Hardee's for me! (Big Hot Ham and Cheese for life!)

 5 Supreme Court Justices.

@TNP said: 5 Supreme Court Justices. Adding to that: now, everywhere I go in the U.S., I'm still married.

The Supreme Court right now...2 good rulings in 1 day! I'm in such a good mood now.
-

@TNP said: 5 Supreme Court Justices. Adding to this: picturing Scalia's reaction. When I first heard the ruling, I didn't even think of him. Now that I've calmed down, I get the added bonus of schadenfreude. O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!'
He chortled in his joy.Edited to add: It's even better after reading Scalia's dissent. What a great fucking day it's turned out to be.

@Thisnameistaken said: @tragedyjones said: Man, so the United States solved racism and homophobia. Someone should have told Baltimore. Not sure if this is because I am notoriously tied to Baltimore or just because things have been, ahem, "a little rough here" lately.

I am notoriously ignorant of what people are notorious for.

I am often mocked for both being from Baltimore and for using it as my Staff Name on TR. I work in the criminal justice system in Baltimore City, too, so I have a decent look at how things are. (I'm a PO). But I mean we didn't solve racism until Wal-Mart stopped selling Confederate Flags. Duh.

@tragedyjones said: Man, so the United States solved racism and homophobia. Of course not. Now, however, among many other things, my spouse can be on my employer-paid health insurance. So, I'm going to feel happy, and you can go sit in a corner and eat a box of prunes.
