Moon River MUSH
-
Set on a mountainside in Northern California's Del Norte region, Moon River is a prosperous little haven for residents and visitors who find their way here, nestled above the elbow of a river. The oceanfront is just a short trip down from the outskirts of town, and its temperate coastal region's biodiversity attracts hunters, scientists, and nature enthusiasts alike. Riverside Community College draws students of all kinds, and Moon River Medical Center is a renowned teaching hospital in the region. The downtown Historic District is home to artisans of all types, and though it looks like a fairly wholesome place, it seems to attract a fair number of criminals too, some more subtle than others. Everyone here—everyone—has a secret.
This is a modern game is inspired by prime time dramas, where things may be utterly OTT, but it's really just another day in Moon River.
Everything in Moon River seems mundane enough, but is it? Come join us & find out!
Apps are simple: 11 background questions and a few stats! If you choose to adopt a roster, most of them are supplied with suggested secrets. We have a simple chargen walk through and a list of existing businesses and housing options. Have questions? We're happy to help.

Is this the same staff who ran: Secret Circle, Lantern Hill, New Moon, the Shadowhunters game, Stranger Than Fiction, MUSH of the Dead, The Point...?
-
@Jeshin If it is, stay far away. The dude in the relationship is highly unstable and gets all the plot, and throws temper tantrums when you send them horrific pages like, "Hey! I heard you were the one to talk to in order to get in on X plot." Also the game will close in about two months when they get bored.
-
@Jeshin I don't think it is the same people
-
Yeah, I don't think it is the same people.
-
You sure? Pretty sure that the tattoo guy with the same PB has been on all these games....
-
@ILuvGrumpyCat The person running this game are not the same people listed above. I am not admin, (I posted this ad with admin permission) but I have played with the game creator in a few different games. The small town genre attracts a lot of the same players. If anyone currently playing has any issues or problems they are encouraged to speak to staff.
-
Having lately run a "small-town" game... can confirm. The same tattooed PBs get used on an endless loop by different people.
-
The admin seems nice and welcoming.
-
Tattooed boy & tattooed girl are REALLY common on small town modern day MUSHes, so I wouldn't jump to conclusions on PBs alone. Having played Stranger than Fiction and been on the 'receiving end' of that weirdness, I am pretty sure it's not the same people lol
-
Kind of seems/feels like Gray Harbor to me?
-
@Jeshin I also played on Lantern Hill and loved the place, I didn't know all those games were connected by the same staff, some of them sure. I was aware of most of them though. I just haven't found anything quite like the teen drama that's fairly active. If anyone has suggestions, I'm super open to them!
-
@GundamGirl We have no supernatural elements. We're just a small town game with high drama. Despite rumors to the contrary we're also not focused on criminal elements, but welcome the infusion of some. Come check us out.
-
Yeah. Totally agree the same PB shows up. With the same job. Same details. Same everything. On a lot of games. Just saying, dude was admin at those other games.
-
Game is fun. Everyone is nice. Admin super helpful. And when I log in I feel like I'm on the set of Gilmore Girls or Pretty Little Liars and I'm ready to start some mudder truckin' DRAMA!!!!! ️️️️️

Just an update, we have a lot of events on the calendar for the next month, including flashback scenes for townies, drive in vignettes where people can watch the movie while they RP, and plot has started kicking off. There is a lot that people can get involved in, and we highly encourage people to run their own plot as well.
Stop by, plenty of concepts are open and we have a robust roster list for people who want PC connections or a way to jump right into the story!
