I remember WORA having a wiki with, despite the flames, a useful record of various MU*s that have come and gone. I had someone ask me about Firan MUX on my game and thought, "I wish the WORA wiki was up" so that I could point them to that. Is the Wiki salvageable? Is it even a good idea anymore?

@JaySherman, I believe the wiki was hosted on the same server as WORA itself, so the likelihood of it being salvageable is low.

Drat. All that good game info, lost forever. 😕 It's like of like losing a somewhat useful historical archive of the hobby in general.

            That's the general consensus, yeah.

I loved reading about those mu*s, although by the time I discovered WORA and its wiki most of those games were already dead.

So even after the Rasheem meltdown in which not having off-site backups was a problem, no off-site backups of the site were kept? Lovely. That's what we call "learning from the past".

I get the impression that what everyone learned is that they just didn't want to dick around with WORA any longer.
