A side-effect of the migraines is I keep losing words. It's worse if I talk out loud, but it def. happens in text, too.

I pretty much constantly am in a state of 'it's on the tip of my tongue.' As a writer, it fucking blows.

I'm a migraineur too and this totally happens to me. I wasn't sure if it was the medication or the prodrome/postdrome themselves doing it. If it's the headaches themselves I think I feel better about it.

I was introducing the school psychologist in a meeting and I forgot the word psychologist it was the worst.

I think it's the migraines themselves. Because often when it happens, I'm either in pain or dealing with the other aura (light sensitivity, vertigo, etc.). It does suck! But it's also helped my doctors understand how much it's affecting me, since they see it happening. It's been almost constant, sadly. I hate talking in person unless I've taken the imitrex (which, since I go out so rarely, I've been able to save pretty much just for 'have to leave house and interact with people').

Happens online, too,but at least then I can take my time until I find the word or an alternate one.

I sympathize with a lot of your posts, I'm in the same boat. Have been since I was a teenager pretty much, though I go through periods where its not that bad and periods where it is horrible. So sorry for your suffering and pain-free thoughts your way.

Uff. Since you were a teenager? I'm so sorry. I used to get maybe 1 or 2 a year. Now it's 'Did I sit up in the morning? Yes? Migraine.' I have had a couple friends over the years who would regularly end up in urgent care for migraines and I never 'got' it, but now I do (having been to UC once already for a toradol injection).

People who do not read directions. Why do I bother writing a 3 page long guide on how to do a thing if you do not read it??

                Yep, pretty much.

They vanished entirely when I was pregnant which was awesome but then they just came back. That's really the only thing that has worked well at preventing them but I don't want 17 children so it's not terribly useful. I'm kind of zen with it now, it just is what it is, when they happen I handle them and when they don't it's great. Stressing about something inevitable didn't do much for me except make me uncomfortable AND stressed out, so I try to keep things in perspective.

Pretty excited about the CGRP antagonist trials though.

I didn't have migraines during my pregnancy either and my hair was pin-straight and fabulous. It was amazing --- the lack of migraines -- there were other not so amazing things, but this was a +.

I think I may have done given myself a labral tear. I really, REALLY don't want to go to the doctor, because then they'll hassle me about other things I don't want to deal with right now.

@Cupcake - urgent care might be a good option. Most insurance companies charge urgent care the same as a primary care physician and they focus more on the precise thing you're there for (other stuff only comes up if it's part of the issue).

Put in a request for an appointment with orthopedics. We'll see if I can, or if they make me go to my PCP first.

@Ganymede It was more the "tear" aspect of things that scared me. I'm not afraid of a labia.

The state of SC (where I used to live) has put a levy on my checks. $625, which isn't a huge amount, but when you live paycheck-to-paycheck, it can be crippling to lose 25% of it to paying something like this.

I have no idea what it's for. I haven't heard anything from them previously.

Hooray for Tuesday morning panic attack!

                                            EDIT:
Wheeee. It's for an ambulance bill! Isn't that a joy.
But I did talk to them and they'll drop the garnishment to 10%. I should be able to manage that.
