At least I can say that I tried.

@Karmageddon I have fibromyalgia and they were still able to do everything laprascopically, so maybe there's hope for you, too!
-
@hedgehog Oooh. That would be lovely. I'm also extra happy that you lucked out. Fibromyalgia sounds so not fun.

I get unreasonably nervous when having holiday related small talk. I don't want to offend people by saying Merry Christmas, I don't want to offend them by saying Happy Holidays. And I am horrified of my coworkers learningI am not religious.
I say Merry Christmas and if they express anything negative then I say sorry... Happy Hanukkah then. If they're still upset I say I'm ignorant of any other holiday during this time of year.
I'm a contractor so I learned long ago not to express any opinion on anything not job related unless asked. In most places that's still a good defense against people who get "offended". -

This is why I don't express holiday-related sentiment. Have a nice day ... or don't, I don't give a fuck.

I usually go with a "Thanks, you too!" to whatever people mention.

Fuck everyone else; they're wishing you well.

Of course I admit that I was raised kinda Catholic, so whenever I hear someone say "May the Force be with you." I answer, mentally, at least, "And also with you."
But yeah, that chart pretty much sums it up.

It sounds unlikely for someone prone to saying things like "May the Force be with you" to be offended if they're responded to in a similar fashion, though.
-
@Arkandel Oh yeah, I know, i was more poking fun at myself for saying you too because of my Catholicness.

Sick on vacation.
Like, 101+ degree fever on vacation. Both my dad and I are so sick. This is so lame... At least I waited toward the end to get sick.
Buh... I want my own bed. And my own cold medicine. And my own house. -

@Arkandel Why... would they do that? What kind of fucking psychopathic monster does this? She's Canadian so it can't be a result of poor education systems. So, what gives?

I've found being an asshole is enough of a cause to act like one.
-
@Arkandel But that's not being an asshole, that's being downright monstrous. She should get life in prison.

Why... would they do that?
Since when have white people needed a reason to do anything, pal? Are you familiar with the last 1000 years of history? You're talking about the people that initiated two world wars and Overseas Colonialism for fun and profit.
That 'professor' isn't exactly the paragon of cleverness, either. If some slab-sided white girl approached me and said "I have cancer", I'd be all like, "Get the fuck out of my face."
EDIT:

Must be hard waving your All Lives Matter ambiguity around.
