Kinds of Mu*s Wanted

I would totally do this.

So, just curious. I'm feeling codey and I now own a copy of 3 of the Dark Heresy books (2e Core, Enemies win/wout). I think i've only ever seen one Warhammer game and after reading the fantasy roleplaying book that definitely won't work in a mu setting, but Dark Heresy might. (Rogue Trader and deathwatch seems like it might too, but no books)
All that being said, would anyone actually play on a Warhammer game?
-
@Alzie There was a Necromunda game for a while, and another that was based on some Hive or another, but, it was pretty dead and I was never able to get involved by the time I'd found them.
-
Warhammer is not the wargame setting I'd be most interested making the transition to mush. That goes to Warmahordes.
-
I would like to see Shifter oWoD v20. But with a focus on the 'lesser' breeds, such as Corax, Nuwisha, Ratkin and Kitsune. Also the Camazotz. Plzkthx.
-
I need a Fallout game like yesterday.
-
Fallout game, yesplz.
-
@Sonder @Miss-Demeanor I saw a fallout mud once, but I can't imagine how you'd run a fallout mush really. What do you imagine? I mean, it makes sense as a mud, but on a mush you'd have to handle all the random items, loot, weapons and crafting.
-
You handle it the same way you handle D&D on a MU*, I would suspect.

And ex and I wrote half a Breedbook for the Camazotz. We had weird Auspices based on how the character was born (by Caesarean, breech, etc.). We also changed up their duty a little bit and made them the emissaries of Gaia to the Underworld (because Camazotz). So they had a lot of Merits and Gifts and Rites that related to the Underworld and Wraiths. I still have all of it on my computer.

One of the things we did was keep the whole Kinfolk-as-breeding-stock thing from oWoD--except we dragged both sides of it out into the light. The Camazotz are nearly extinct, so they really do come off as pretty much just wanting to have lots of Camazotz babies with as many Kinfolk as possible, damned the consequences. But the Kinfolk get a voice, too--there's one particular bit of fiction we wrote that was really poignant from the Kinfolk point of view.
There was an inhumanity to the Camazotz that came from dealing with death constantly that I found really interesting to write around. I was also, uh... twenty? At the time.

So it's settled. @Coin is making Camazotz Game. Xibalba. Yesplzkthx.

I have never heard of this before, so I am choosing to believe that I'm hearing about a kids show set in an action-playset far future. Camazotz: Knights of the Forever Tales.

We mixed a lot of Mayan and Aztec stuff (and maybe some Incan?) as backdrop and linguistic roots for the Camazotz. Xibalba was what they called the Underworld--natch--but there was a lot of Nahuatl there, too. I didn't want to limit it to just one of the major Pre-Colonization American native cultures. I wanted all those cultures sort of hodge-podge mixed in as remnants of something that the Camazotz belonged to long before even the Olmecs.
Also, Nahuatl was a lot easier to snag words from and fuck around with, linguistically, which back then was a draw. I hadn't even started studying the intricacies of linguistics back then.
Also, IIRC, Nahuatl was a lot more robust in terms of "violent" words, and a lot of what we needed had to do with blood and cutting and shit like that, so. Heh.

Sons and daughters of a giant Ancestor/King of the Underworld who resides in the House of Bats and grows fat on blood, fear and Bad Things. Possible servant of an Elder God-like being called 'Xibalba'.
@Coin now has all of our attentions.

I would love to see this too.
