@Tempest DLC seems to scale near end game though. But you're waaaay off that.

That would make sense. Most DLC scales because you can often do it at different points in the game.

@Roz Right, I just wanted to warn because if you have them, you can open them up on the map accidentally and not realize it. Then get eaten by something nasty.

Out of curiosity, are there any DLC specific characters? DA2 had one or two, if I remember right.

@Tempest Not that are playable. You can judge a bear, and get her as an asset if you do it correctly for the first DLC, Jaws of Hakkon. The second - Descent has a couple of dwarves following me around and helping, but I'm not that far into it yet so I can't say how long they will stick around.

It has been a while since I played but IIRC Iron Bull introduces you to a qunari phrase that is more or less "I am going to touch myself tonight thinking of that"

Ahahaha, fuck. He just said this, and the context in which he brings it up, makes it extra hilarious.

Just finished The Descent DLC, and it was pretty awesome (and something I hope plays into another set of DLC or a new Dragon Age game), but I have a super spoilery beef:

! How the fuck do you have DLC about lyrium-infused magical-dwarves and NOT include Dagna? 😞

@HelloRaptor Probably because not everyone sent her off to do her thing, so she isn't in their main game now and they figured it would be too confusing to those who didn't have her.

Also was that supposed to be tagged as a spoiler or a quote, because on this skin it came up as a quote, which sucks if it was a spoiler tag.

I actually thought you got her even if you hadn't sent her off to do her thing in DAO. Who do you get if you don't get her?

Small question. Are there "enhanced <ability XYZ> ring" accessories for prestige class abilities, or only the basic ones?

If I understand the question, basic ones. If you aren't sure, just look through the trees until you find it.

To clarify, I mean the accessories that you find and they're like "Enhanced Shield Bash Ring" and if you equip it on a warrior, it gives +30% damage to that ability for them. Do they have those for the "prestige" class abilities? (Assassin/Reaver/Templar/Tempest/etc.)

                                  I don't recall so, Tempest.

Yeah, I don't really remember either, but like I said I check the trees when I get something I don't know. I want to say I haven't seen anything, but maybe the DLC will be different? Nothing is jumping out at me though.

Much as I think anyone who didn't get Dagna is a monster who deserves to be confused, I could get that. Except if you go talk to her after the DLC she does sort of a 'whatever that was all about' thing and shrugs it off. And yes, you're not supposed to tell anybody but come on. There could have been some shit with her, even just in dialogue, that you'd only get if you had her. Not having any would be like a big Tevinter DLC that Dorian has no input on. πŸ˜•

@HelloRaptor At least they added something? I'm more disappointed by the lack of companion banter about the situations in both of the DLC's so far.

I love that the dragon fights give me that same giddy feeling the Skyrim ones did (for the length of time where the Skyrim dragons were actually hard to kill, anyways). Lot of scrambling and micromanaging and it manages to be fun rather than a pain in the ass.

@Tempest Except for I think 3 fights the dragon fights DO scale with your level once you hit a certain range. So if you find one really tough and think about going back later and trying again you might want to give it a level or two and then go back, otherwise you'll likely be in the same situation if you leave it too long.
