All those half-brains in this thread!

@TMG , I just thought you had no interest or room in your play for anyone else. That was the impression I got as a player and as Staff (I wasn't anyone important as Staff btw). However, I only have half a brain dedicated only to hating so take that with a grain of salt.
I'm sorry about that! I tried to be inclusive, I think it came across the other way. I'd rather run a scene that lets everyone else shine, and that's kinda where I'm at. I know some folks were concerned I was on staff on TR/Fallcoast, I want to clarify - I wasn't staff until the end and only then because they didn't have anyone that wanted to lead the hunt for a new Crime/Law faction writeup. So someone else and I paired up and did that, and once the game was open and questions were answered, I posted and took my cue. I never wanted to staff on the active game, cause I've been there done that and it's the easiest way to burn me out.
As for the others ... thank you. The kind words make me blush!

I should clarify that I didn't think you were being exclusive, just so busy doing what you were doing it was hard to imagine making an impression on you, if that makes sense. Just one side of the story, as always.
-
No worries, I'm still sorry I gave ya that impression.

I never had an OOC problem with you. You were cool as hell. The few IC problems with you were actually things that I greatly appreciated. We were playing Arrows, an incredibly philosophical Order with a great many ways to approach the same problem. When ideas conflicted.... well, that's pretty much what that philosophy was designed to do.
It always lead to a ton of interesting RP for me, both with you and with other people. My Mage had students that he'd teach a certain way, which in turn was borderline in conflict with the ideas that the Adamant Sage was putting out. I think, over time, folks have come to expect there to be a lot of kumbaya going on (which there never is, and frankly probably shouldn't be), and as much as we complain about cliques, people seem to forget that not only are they natural, most players on a game are a part of one, somewhere along the lines, because there is never a majority opinion so large that it's clearly the one, true, right, and only way.
Anyway, sure, maybe you had some faults, but you were also fairly good at keeping things organized and providing RP ideas, even if you weren't aware that's what you were doing (and kudos if you were aware that's what you were doing).

Updated for Reno 2.0.

Updated and excited about my new Jedi on Dawn of Defiance - I never played on a Star Wars MU* before.
I think I'll spend the first scene turning my lightsaber on and off again. Pssshhewzzzzzzz!

So many lightsaber and penis jokes are to be made.

Oh, Dawn of Defiance. If only you weren't Saga...

I am really intimidated by the sheer volume of all those rules. But hey, the game looks good and staff sane.
And I get to play with my lightsaber all day long!

@Arkandel I really like the Saga rules-set. It's not perfect for a MUSH (very few tabletop systems, if any, are), but it's close enough to D&D 3.5 to be familiar, while having a few differences (defenses, condition track) that I think really add to the rules-set.

Volume of Rules is sometimes okay. Level-based never is.
DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM.

On Dawn of Defiance, you can level up or purchase Feats, Skills, Talents, and the like with XP after character generation. So it is a hybrid.

Hey @Arkandel, I hope your playlist likes Star Wars RPG talk!
Because I don't think I've seen anyone even attempt any of the "Edge of the Empire" style Fantasy Flight RPGs. Which is too bad, because it seems needlessly complex. I mean kind of fun.
