I dunno.
You can have sex on a unicorn in 3 though?
-
Unless you ride that unicorn off a cliff and it explodes improbably.
-
Nah it's stuffed and mounted.

Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee is Free on Steam right now.
-
Tales from the Borderlands, Episode 1 is free on consoles right now. Or you can buy all four episodes for less than $10 on Steam. Worth picking up if you're a Borderlands fan.
-
Especially since the final Episode comes out on the 20th.
-
@Insomnia Yeah I looked that up after I made my post. I'm usually not a fan of the story interactive games but I had a lot of fun with my play through and I'm looking forward to the last episode.
-
Not on sale, but in case people missed it Life is Strange is also doing it's final episode on the 20th as well.
-
@Insomnia I have not played this but one of the YTers I follow has been and I must say...oh man this game. This game is involved. It's a great audience experience at the least.
-
It got panned more than a little by critics for its poor voice work in the first episode.
That said, I will probably pick it up. I hear the tone is similar to The Last of Us.
Has anyone played Helldivers? Is it good?

Totes, and like, in all the seconds episodes.
My theory is that the voice acting for episodes 1 and 2 were in the can before the feedback on the writing. The voice work is fine. It's the feedback that makes all the characters sound like someone writing for Buffy who's only heard it described by internet-addicted 13-year-old girls.
The 3rd and 4th episodes are tons better in that regard. I enjoyed 1st and 2nd in spite of this.

@Ganymede
Helldivers is a step up above most other top down shooters, Gany. It's kind of like taking control of a single infantry piece in Star Craft, on the terran side and fighting horde rushes of Zerg or Protoss. It's got some decent customization to it - as far as loadouts and equipment you can take planetside. But like all mulitplayer games if you get a people who thinks victory and experience is measured more in kills instead of objectives the game won't be much fun.I would recommend renting it on Gamefly before committing to a purchase.

Not a game but a free (for now) audio drama that you should go and get while it's still free.
Holy shit, I was gonna say thanks for the tip - I love that kind of stuff. But after downloading it, I seriously have to wonder how Audible has any customers at all. Their DRM protection is incredibly annoying! Convoluted and very user-unfriendly. To think they expect people to pay with this kind of user experience. Paying for content is one thing, but screwing me in the ass to access it? Forget it.
-
Yeah I didn't really realize it was that bad either now. It didn't used to be before they weren't an Amazon company.
-
I guess I will stick this here. Could also go in shameless self-promotion too in a way.
I don't want to die in a slime gangbang is a 2 hour playthrough of this game Eternal Step that comes out on October 16th. I was lucky enough to have one of the devs pop in and surprise me while I was on the stream and answer questions about the game. Also now, if you die in game you can get the quote on your tombstone. (which you can tweet out about it).
One of my viewers said Binding of Iasaac, with less gore. And that's pretty spot on. On sale right now for $7.99 on Greenman Gaming .
-
@Insomnia Watched it on Youtube. Was a great playthrough.
-
Thanks! I'm going to work on some crafting today and then probably stream it again after I do part 4 of Back To The Future: The Game tonight and see how I do against the slimes. No gangbangs for me!

Helldivers is more than a step-above most other top-down shooters. It's freaking incredible as far as those games are concerned. Especially since friendly-fire matters so much.
It is a deceptively simple game. Getting the Mega Bundle expansion is worth it. In total, $40, but it's money well-spent if you like objective-based top-down shooters.
Oh yeah, and if you try to kill-kill-kill, you're going to eventually lose. The enemies just don't stop.
