Cheap or Free Games!

Steam Winter Sale starts tomorrow from what I've read. Prepare your wallets.
-
Jade Empire is free through Origin right now.
-
-
Of course I download the game and it won't even start. Origin is soooo great.
-
@Glitch
Sounds about on par for Origin. Sorry for the trouble you're having Glitch. -
(Granted, it wouldn't accept my bank card. So YMMV)

Consortium is free this weekend on steam and "Anyone who gets the game this weekend will keep the game in their library forever."
-
Apparently Witcher 2 is free to download for people with an Xbox 360 right now. I can't personally confirm though.

This is a fun game for free or even $5. It is a mystery that is designed for replay, so I suspect depth over breath. Joe-Bob says check it out.

Bionic Dues is free right now at the Humble Store.

Guild Wars 2 is free to download, now.

GW2 has been available as FTP for a couple months now. Still don't get access to all the content or goodies that buying the game will get you, but you can try it out, see how you like it.
-
It's nice looking and I enjoy leveling. Not sure about endgame stuff, but the in-between is fun.
-
I know it is free to play, but the core game, no longer has a box price. You can download it and play it for free. You still have to pay for the expansion.
-
@Jaded I know. That's what I was saying. The game was always FTP in that there's never been a subscription fee to play by the month, but you still had to buy the game. Shortly before they released the HoT expansion, the core game went fully free, if you didn't mind accepting the limitations enforced on the account. You're more limited in the character slots you get and what you can do in-game than if you paid for it, but its a good way to test it out to see if you want to buy it. Wouldn't recommend playing only the free version, though.

Oh. Derp my bad then

It's really awesome of you to keep updating the thread like this!

I sometimes feel like I update it too much, but then other times I feel like I don't update it enough, but pretty much every big place to get games has a sale pretty much all the time now, so I don't know if I'm going overboard or not. Probably should, since not everyone follows stuff like me, I assume.
Maybe a weekly sales that are going on or something post? I dunno, free games are the best games, I think! But I mostly pay attention to stuff I like so I leave out a lot as well. If I know what people might be on the lookout for, I could post that too, if I see it.
I need more coffee. Or I've had to much. I dunno.
(If anyone needs a good emulator, feel free to PM me.)
