I accidentally left my character idling in a public room when someone happened by to RP and what happened thereupon was the funniest scene I have had in a dog's age.

When your character's head gets cut off. But it's actually cool.

I adore rabbit-holing, which MUSHing gives me an excuse to do. Right now, I am learning of the number of beautiful old manses in Latvia that are up for sale.

I shouldn’t, but I kind of love reading about the ongoing drama of games I no longer play now that it no longer directly affects me.

I've been having a lot of fun the last couple months. I missed playing with a lot of you guys, and I'm enjoying some new friends. Here's to more yeti-babies, pixie dust and hairless catssoul-sucking demons in 2022.

@kestrel Same. I am a terrible, awful person, and need the latest drama scoop.

Shoutout to @Pandora and @Salvation for providing me with excellent New Year’s entertainment. I swear the latter grew a whole new set of teeth somehow, which I didn’t even know was possible for a human and confirms she’s some sort of shark. @crayon’s been making me watch Squid Game at gunpoint which isn’t half as good. For my New Year’s Resolution I promise to be a better person and have fewer guilty pleasures and no longer derive any enjoyment from other people’s spicy wordsmithery though. So please forgive me this only sin and thank you.

Happy New Year's to this crazy hobby that I keep playing in year after year.

Getting invited into a scene to help players do cool shit. Full stop. I love that.

I will never stop loving when you can have a scene with big, complex or negative emotions and people doing/saying the kind of impulsive things that people say/do, and it doesn't hurt any OOC feelings or cause any OOC drama, and instead you can just enjoy the IC drama with the other players involved.

When I woke up this morning, a plot I've been fiddling with figured itself out, and it made me happy, and now I'm stoked to play it with my friends.

It used to be a running gag that MU* were all populated by teenagers and college students who were inexplicably and implausibly omnicapable superheroes. 19 year old star doctors, lawyers, detectives and scientists, etc. As the MU* community has aged, I've noticed that the characters making up most games' casts have too. Lots of people actually do seem to prefer playing 30-40+ year olds etc., and I find that the IC demographics tend to be fairly realistic these days. I like this. It's nice to see. I've always felt that older characters often have more layered stories to tell, even when I was actually a 19-21 year old on these games myself.

@kestrel So just yesterday I realized that, when I was 21, I had made a character who I felt was a bit "older." He was grouchy, lived-in, etc. I couldn't remember how old he was when I first apped him, so I went to check. He was 36. Two years older than I am now. I wanted to die. I have literally never felt so old.
