How scary of a drunk are you? Cause that can makes a difference, I have sworn to things that are th polar opposite of what I believe to avoid pissing off drunk scary folks.I don't think I'm a scary drunk.
I am a quiet drunk.I tend to nestle into a corner of the couch and drink and watch everyone. Apparently it's not easy to tell I am drunk because people will frequently shove more drinks into my hand, declaring they want to 'get' me drunk or 'see' me drunk.
...I tend to end up very, very wasted by the end of parties.
You know that whole 'standing in the bathroom, gripping the sink, and staring in the mirror while you think 'oh god how am I this drunk?' moment? That moment and I are very familiar with one another.
No, no, there's just this delicate balance of a couple drinks plus just the right amount of weed where I stop worrying about 'oh god cooking is hard' and I just... cook. I want to feed the world. Everything in the kitchen becomes full of possibility.

I am a quiet drunk. It's the quiet ones you have to watch out for.

Someone tells me that I am RPing exactly how they pictured my PC to be.
I know I'm doing something right, and that makes me happy.

High Aria discovers the tasty gourmet spreads and spices and sauces she bought and then promptly shoved in the cupboards, unsure of how to use, and decides that we're going to try things now.
There is an entire story about how, on my 21st birthday, I became unreasonably excited about a jar of apple butter and managed to alarm an entire house full of people with my gleeful shouting from the kitchen.
....High Aria is not allowed to cook anymore.

I just have to call out @scar because I love Jacinta's PB.
She is so adorable. Frecklessssss.
-
@auspice I know, right?! She's been in my arsenal for a little while. Glad I finally got an excuse to actually bust her out! ...even if she doesn't have any period-appropriate pictures.

That's the problem with period games. Both my PCs have v. few photos for the same reason.

I turn into ultimate happy drunk, nothing can go wrong, everything is awesome.
Except on tequila. Then I lose my clothes. I have no idea where they go but they are repelled from my body at near relatavistic speeds.
Or something.
On topic though: I love it when a game inspires me in character creation and I totally fall in love with a character and just chomp at the bit to play it.
What almost inevitably happens though belongs in the mu things I hate thread though.

For all that people on MU*s, here, etc. may lash out at me sometimes?
My boss just contacted me: 'I was just reviewing some of your tickets and customer feedback on one just about made me choke.'
Me: 'Oh no.'
Boss: 'I quote: 'You suck. Eat shit and die.' ...it's not your fault they couldn't find the right button.'Other than one person -- in 19 years -- no one's said anything like that to me. But I get feedback like that from customers at my job on, well, a pretty regular basis. So hats off to MU*ing.

I just want to thank Giordano, Kellan, Gerrit, and Sebastien on The 8th Sea for making last night one of the most enjoyable scenes I've ST'd in a long time.
I try really hard to craft a narrative and engage people in the sights, sounds, smells (rotting flesh, ha ha!), and the landscape around them. Horror is my favorite. These guys engaged not only with the story, but with each other. The bickering between the Englishman and the Italian was a highlight of the evening.
It was a joy to run for you guys. And for anyone on T8S who missed it? Don't worry. Tooth and Claw is far from over as a plot and there will be more after the holidays. I promise.

I'm a singing drunk.

When I can turn things going horribly wrong IC into terrible, wonderful, fun stories, and watch the RP spread out and reach totally unrelated people, change things in organic ways, and see people using the marginally twisted things I come up with to deepen their characters?
I LOVE PEOPLE THAT DO THIS THING.

Sort of related to MU and not just the specific client:
/grab <object>/<attr>
and having that loaded into the input window of Potato, ready to edit and send./grab me/desc

Mu* husband: "Look we have to talk about your spending habits."
MeChar: What why!?
Mu*husband: "You have spent <X amount> of <currency> in only <short amount of time>
MeChar: "I have not! Wtf! And anyway (unrelated tangent)"
Later today:
RealHusband: What did you just order off of Amazon and how much was it?
RealMe: OMG I HAVE ALREADY HAD THIS ARGUMENT TODAY
-
Do we need to schedule an intervention?
-
MU* Partner: Are you a changeling?
MePC: in paranoid rage turns and strikes for 6L! Oh, I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to break half of your ribs!
MU* Partner: Holy shit! I'm glad I didn't ask about your spending habits! And the day's young.

Having a good friend / RP partner who is the sort of person you can approach with 'So I have this story I'd kinda like to see happen with our characters...' and they like it and are on board with you to make it happen.
-
Sometimes I love to turn the tables on staff who think that some bit of code is going to be fairly straightforward.
Staffer: "Hey, Coder, do this!"
Me: "Okay, I need input on these 170 items."
Staffer: "I...what?"I almost feel bad for them, but I also know that I will never have a staffer ask me what's taking so long.
-
Writing something fluff and going 'Oh, hey. That... actually, that's an interesting thing to float into a mechanic.' and then brainstorming the mechanic.
-
I just want to thank all the coders out there for making things like this happen.
If it wasn't for your strange brand of computer alchemy, I'd still be one of those savages playing on java chats. I'm still haunted by the sound of that castanet.
