MU Things I Love

Players with integrity.
Players who are willing to have a scene with an NPC and not get upset when they don't get every question answered.
Players who get a surprising result to their action, a result that is negative, and instead of melting down they turn it into an opportunity to add depth to their stories.
Players willing to treat serious things seriously even though it's objectively FUCKING HILARIOUS.

The ability to compliment a great staffer (@Apos ) without people screaming favoritism.
-
@vulgarkitten
It's not favoritism if it's true.

Played out the conclusion of a storyline that has taken over half a year to reach. The ending was so much better than I expected. Utterly tragic and with consequences that have irrevocably changed all the characters involved.
Thank you, @Darinelle. Who would have thought that a small request to look into a tiny piece of backstory would have turned into this?

You're very welcome. It should be mentioned that @Apos and @Kanye-Qwest helped me brainstorm who he was and his backstory right at the beginning, and that willingness to add to the narrative turned into this. In the end though, it's y'all who made it what it was. I just set the scene and well. Hrm. Wrote some truly creepy shit.

Finally getting to the part of a plot you've been working the better part of a month on. Esp. a large plot that has a lot of moving parts and other PCs could have (and nearly did!) interfere with.
I've had so, so, so many times over the years where I poured a lot of time and effort into plots and the climactic scenes (for me!) never happened. Either the ST lost steam, the other people needed lost interest, or other things just never came to fruition. So actually getting to see things through for the part in it all that I was waiting for (this is the point that I've been trying to get to since the very first scene I was personally involved in in the plot) is very exciting.

Running a scene for players where people work together, roll with the punches and don't mind when you make some booboos yourself.
-
The smell of a brand new game. Mmmmm. Raw code, bubbling enthusiasm, re-meeting players you haven't knowingly encountered in years!

RPing with someone for 6 hours and no romance, no ts, just developing story.
Yup, I'm stalking them now. #letmebeyourrppartner4life
-
@shincashay That is nice, I've just been running into issues on a couple of games where there's only so many people public and it makes it hard to keep dragging social RP on.

It should've been us
Shoulda been a fire, shoulda been the perfect storm
It should've been us
Coulda been the real thing
Now we'll never know for sure, ooh
We were crazy, but amazing, baby we both know
It should've been us, us
It, it, it should've been us -

Been meaning to post this one for a few days.
... when you're ST'ing for people you don't really know and the scene goes off the rails in unexpected and (by most MU* standards) crazy, somewhat campy ways and everyone is laughing and rolling with it and it's just -fun-. It really reminded me of a TT session in that way.
-
@taika I'd like to call that Champion Freeformin ST. Roll with the shit. Give the setting, lay down some shit and see what happens!

When you get to have scenes so full of emotion and history, that are full of hard choices and built on several RL years of relationship history and continuity between two PCs, that are just -- so rich and layered and have so much unspoken between the lines but that so much is clear because of all the time that was spent building the dynamic...guh. So good.
