OK! I have more starter boxes to send out.

( @Macha - I know we had trouble with this last time. Do you have a different email to try if you wanna try again?)

      https://fabfitfun.com/
It's super girly. But I like it cause it's a mix of stuff and not JUST makeup/beauty products. I also like that it's FULL SIZE PRODUCTS. The starter box is a smaller size of the main box, but it's STILL 3-4 full-size items, but YOU only pay shipping/handling to receive one (it does sign you up for the service tho, so just remember to cancel within 21 days if you only want the free box).

Anyway. It's a seasonal vs monthly box which is another part of why I like it. But, one example is in the fall box, I got one of those blanket scarves (yaaaaaay I love it and I've been wearing it a LOT). I thiiiiiiiiink the winter box is gonna have a blanket. This has been the ongoing theory on the forums.

      So.
I have 5 2 of these I can 'give' out (until 12/12). All I need is your email address. We had some finicky-ness last time when I tried with Macha, so I think some emails may not work well (gotta love them filters). I'd recommend a gmail account, just to be safe. So! PM me and I'll just update the post with how many I have remaining as I give 'em out.

I really appreciate how much free wine I get at work.

      I need it this week.

As we watch 'Evolution' for the millionth time in my household (it is a family favorite), I am reminded to tell everyone to go watch it if you haven't, it's hilarious. 2001. It is not -- well, just watch it. It's streaming on Amazon.

@Ghost said in Why We Don't Make New Friends Anymore (Or Creepers Do Creepy Things):

      New creepy.

Learning that someone in the local gaming/convention community is a serial killer who is going on trial in 2020 for decapitating people.

Todd Kohlhepp, real estate agent in SC

Not a gamer, but. I had a lot of acquaintances and friends in real estate when I was in SC so a ton of people who knew this guy. When he was found out / arrested it was... a big deal.

Oh oh just saw the edit.
      Date creeps.

The last date I went on, a couple months ago (this might be why I'm so hesitant to try any dating rn even tho I'm lonely af): the guy was an arrogant mf'er anyway which is fine. Personality clashes happen.

Except he asked about my scar.

      Which is fine.

I have a prominent scar over my left breast. It's high enough that unless I wear a higher collared shirt, you can see it. Summer in TX, that ain't happening. I'm used to people asking and most ask out of curiosity and then make jokes about what they think the scar is from: I don't mind this! The theories are always a ton more fun than the actual story anyway.

      But this guy stared.
He stared in a way that made me feel so gross.
Like, on a level with Game Store Owner from my previous post.

I almost got up and walked out right then and there. I probably should've. But I was also just so stunned because it was like... a switch flipped. He went from 'arrogant hipster' to 'I'm going to leer at this scar' so suddenly I barely had time to process.

(pro-tip: someone as scarred as I am may appreciate that you like or aren't bothered by scars, but being SO INTO them is kind of frightening k?)

One of my top anxieties is missing my bus stop. It's part of why I hate taking the bus. I am always, even after taking it on the same route for months (and even with things like how Google Maps can alert you when your stop is coming up), afraid I will miss it.

....today I had a brief 'Modern Day Belle' moment.

I've been re-reading (due to an RL Book Club) a book I loved when I was a teenager. This morning, I got absorbed enough in it on my commute that I absolutely would have missed it. Except I've been seeing the same driver, nearly every day, for five months.

He stopped anyway. And even gave me a few seconds (since headphones) to realized he had done so.

      That man is a gem.
