RE: Podcasts
@silverfox One of my formative reading experiences as a youngster was an article by Isaac Asimov titled "The Relativity of Wrong," about the importance of being iteratively slightly less wrong.
Also, I think I would probably quite like the podcast you've recommended. -
RE: Sensitivity in gaming
To be fair, it's not just finger pointing and name calling. There are also cat gifs.

RE: Which device do you play from?
I probably spend more time connected via phone or tablet but that's really just to check in on stuff.
If I'm actually going to type anywhere near extensively, I need to use the desktop. It's ancient now but keeps up a pretty good framerate for any MU* I've ever connected to.

@fatefan Yiff me if I know.

RE: Arx: A New House
If you saw someone follow you then unfollow you, that was me. Hello. I have no idea how to do a private message.
If you don't end up with other takers for a mercantile minister sort, I've got a free slot for an alt and haven't ever gotten around to messing about with those systems, so I'd be glad to help you get your House going.
I usually miss every event ever for online schedule reasons but who looks for the money guy to be hanging about at those things anyway? Just let me know. Thanks.

RE: Good or New Movies Review
By my reading, Yah-Huh v. Uh-Uh incorrectly applied the BOFA standards, but OK.

RE: Short-Term MU*s
Quick question: Do you already know what time ranges you'd likely be doing your X number of plot things in? I don't personally have direct experience of it but I imagine that trying to join into a MU* with a defined base storyline told in a limited time frame without being able to be around when the bulk of that actual story is being told would not be great for that player. Or, really, for any of the other players either.

Or if there's controversy with funding of the local police benevolent foundation's annual celebration, that could be "Police Ball's Depp in Trouble."

RE: What isn't CGen for?
Obviously, given his daily routine in the most recent movie, he was battling a crippling lifelong addiction to "specialty" milks. That is a fascinating tidbit to me.

RE: Coming Soon: Arx, After the Reckoning
I've also got a character wandering about Arx right now. I have enjoyed most of the characters I've been able to experience, and have been able to experience more of those characters than I've actually run across, due to the journal system.
For me, the big takeaway from reading the last few pages of this thread is that the work subfunction of the task command can be used multiple times per week. I had no idea. I took the section of the task helpfile that stated, "The /work switch allows you to consume one of your tasks per week in order to do some small service for your chosen organization, generating a nominal amount of money and resources." to mean that you could only do it once during the week. This will increase my weekly resource generation by probably four or five times, from pathetically minuscule all the way up to merely pitiable.
Overall, I'm quite impressed, and it hasn't really even started yet.

Props for the thread title.
Indeed. I also would have accepted, "Yo Dawg I heard you like Alts so we put an Alt in your Alt so you can Alt while you Alt."

RE: Interest/Volunteer Check: Major Multisphere Chronicles of Darkness
Just Dayton proper or the whole Dayton metropolitan area?
