Yeah, I have no insight into the code there--it was installed long before I came around. Masq has been around forever as you know. But, wanted to think (correctly as it turns out) that for the 2010 reboot, the +roll and some other stuff were updated to Revised.

VERIFY(BTJE) Fortune rolls 10 dice [7 5 4 3 1 9 10 4 1 4] against 10 and gets
0 successes.One 10, two 1s, it's a fail, not a botch. Revised rule in effect.

RE: Masquerade (oWoD)--yes, we are still open
Somehow I didn't see any notifications--probably something I did wrong.
@HelloRaptor -- Yes, the game did used to have Mages, but not since the last reboot (2010). Don't know about botches specifically, but the dice code has not been touched much, so I think botches are still done the old way.
@DarkDeleria -- Correct, using Revised, not 20th Anniversary. I have not touched the 20th Anniversary books at all.
@Thenomain -- The Wiki was created for the 2010 reboot of the game. If you played before that, you won't have had / made a Wiki page.

@Cobaltasaurus We would be happy to have you come back. Bring your friends!
I want to bump the thread back up because I would love to recruit solid players to Masq. There's an existing solid group of stellar RPers, but the game needs fresh blood. As staff, Augury and myself are extremely pro-PRP--so if you have a story you want to run, we will support this.
Feel free to drop by the game at masq.org 9999--I am always on (though dark) and would be happy to answer any questions.

Masquerade (oWoD)--yes, we are still open
Masquerade is looking to recruit creative players who are interested in crafting a cooperative story within an oWoD (Revised) game setting. Those who do best on our game are those who proactively seek out roleplay and have an idea of what direction they'd like their character's story to go.
Masq's staff's job is to facilitate RP, arbitrate PvP, maintain continuity, and promote story. We are very laid back about allowing players to run their own plots, even those that involve supernatural NPCs. Players have the ability to flag their character if they are interested in being targeted for plots or not.
The location of the game is set in Albuquerque, New Mexico: a city that was founded over 300 years ago. It's a setting rich in natural history and native lore, and many of our staff plots stem from this.
We support the character types of Mortal, Sorcerer, Psychic, Shifter and Vampire. For more specific information, please view our player driven wiki at http://www.masq.org and drop by the game at masq.org 9999. Hope to see you there!
