      @Gingerlily has been reading my hype at her about my current binging of Reign and just asked me if I'm "ashamed of [my] love for completely ridiculous costume dramas starring teen girls?"

      I just wanted to make sure everyone knew that no. No, I am not.

      Just finished the first season.

      Quick thoughts:

      • amg lola wtf
      • holy shit francis
      • good riddance to good acting
      • adorable unlikely couple is adorable
      • fuck you nostradamus
      • oh, leith. no. i don't care what color her hair is. no.
      • dayum, mary.

      So there.

      Psht. Ashamed. Fuck you say to me..?!

      I am a huge fan of Reign not just in a 'I love this campy shiz' way but in an actual genuine way for reasons. It is a show centered around young, female characters, yet they do not constantly get naked. It passes the Bechdel test in every single solitary episode. (The girls talk about their guy issues some sure, but also ruling nations and political situations and familial relationships) and I just think that for a show basically geared towards the 14-25 year old chick crowd (sorry @Coin but you still have great taste) it treats that crowd with respect!

      It's probably going to be cancelled very soon.

      Their forums were significantly more hostile than MSB's, imo. It pretty much was a half dozen game owners that loathed each other posting regularly.

      This conversation is so old but I hadn't seen in, and have to comment because man, I know/knew at least three of the most vocal of the 'arguing admins' and it was just ridiculous and predictable but also hilarious.

      My favorite TMC forums thing was the ENDLESS GRUELING debate about what games can call themselves RPIs and why. So many pages, so many feelings, and nobody cared but them.

      Kinda sorta. I don't know, it just hasn't stood out as something I absolutely need to watch. If it comes out and gets great reviews, I might dip my toes into it, though.

      70's rock drama, produced by Martin Scorsese and MICK JAGGER. The music! The hair/sunglasses/mustaches! The PANTS! I absolutely need to watch this. I'm shocked I'm alone on this forum. I feel like such a nerd but this is a place FOR nerds am I the wrong kind?

      I watched The Girlfriend Experience on Starz because I was sick and it was there, I kind of can't tell if I liked it? The mood of the show is really strange. Did anyone else watch it? Can you tell me whether I liked it?

      Orange Is the New Black.

      Did anyone else watch the entire thing the weekend of release, ignoring their loved ones, eating, and sleeping?

      SUCH a good season, the best one yet I think, I don't even know how to describe how it all left me feeling but I am still feeling it a week later. Man.

      @Cupcake

      That's awesome, thank you.

      I was going to here in DC but the plan was to take my daughter, and when anticipated numbers kept going up and up and up I got a little nervous that if she got uncomfortable and wanted to leave we'd be pretty much stuck, I still am wistful and part of me wished we'd just sucked it up, but if my 8 year old had burst into tears because of the noise and the press of people and we had to wait 2 hours for the metro to get us out, it would have been rough.

      I did not know you loved Reign also. Will you watch with me if @Coin doesn't get on it and catch up? I like live fashion analysis, it's important to my enjoyment of the show.

      @Auspice

      Yep, pretty much.

      They vanished entirely when I was pregnant which was awesome but then they just came back. That's really the only thing that has worked well at preventing them but I don't want 17 children so it's not terribly useful. I'm kind of zen with it now, it just is what it is, when they happen I handle them and when they don't it's great. Stressing about something inevitable didn't do much for me except make me uncomfortable AND stressed out, so I try to keep things in perspective.

      Pretty excited about the CGRP antagonist trials though.

      Double reply but just adding this because it is also relevant:

      I've been reading studies and articles lately about neuroplasticity, because after the years of migraines and medications I want to get my brain 'back in shape' so to speak, and they mentioned several means by which to improve the healthy functioning of the brain.

      One was mindfulness meditation, which is pretty predictable and now recommended for all kinds of things, so that's cool.

      But another was video games. Not specific stuff like Luminosity or whatever marketed to improve brain function. Just any video game.
