Well. This is very uncomfortable to confess, but I'll soldier on. First I get very comfortable. Some music to set the mood helps -- something sexy. Loose, comfortable clothing is a plus here too. Once I'm all settled in and in the zone, it's time to get. it. on.

I loosen my belt, ease the tension of my waistband...

...and fucking binge on snacks. Loud snacks, messy snacks... whatever! I don't even give a fuck. Savage with it.

I went with Greedfall, for those keeping score at home. My shitty internet downloaded the thing in time for me to roll out a character before bed and not much more, so no real verdict yet.

The new Steam UI, though? Absolute trash. Stahp.

Now I'm waffling, damnit. The $1 game pass thing sounds legit, but I'm concerned that if I give Microsoft my billing information they'll hit me for MS Office licensing I don't want. They tried like hell to bill me for that after my trial ran out, and you couldn't opt out -- the only solution was to remove valid payment information from the account. So this is a factor.

Is it Cid Meier's Civilization enough, though?

I think this thread talked me out of Outer Worlds, but in its place I need a good game to foolishly waste money I don't have on. Currently eyeballing Pine and Greedfall. Can anyone condemn or recommend either?

I was all on board for Outer Worlds until I read this. That is crazy short, and idgaf about any multiplayer elements. Maybe I'll play it on the game pass instead.

ETA: I just finished my first run of Hollow Knight ($15) with over 64 hours on the clock and a lot of significant stuff left to do with only 103% completion. To think I'd get half that time out of a full-price game is gross. I'm still piling hours into various Skyrim and Fallout 4 saves, though. Is there enough choice and variation to support multiple plays?
