Just a quick thought: I encounter way more 'White Hats' or 'good guys' that are antagonistic and ooc problematic than bad guys. I've encountered way more communication and community in antagonistic spheres barring a few jarring examples.
Sadly these examples tend to be the only antagonists people care about or remember

Pls bring the hog pit back. Opt in, of course. Sometimes I need to scream into the void an occasionally when the void screams back it contains a grain of truthiness that I need in that moment.. but I can't spleen on mildly constructive..it feels wrong.

Having social anxiety and being exposed to CNN and/or the weather channel these last few weeks has been exhausting.

I really cannot believe that this person keeps getting passes. If we want to concern ourselves with actions that are unhealthy for the community and/or individuals who are no longer part of it who feel compelled to return every so often to remind us all how we are -insert opinions here- for still taking part in said hobby.. like are warnings per thread? If a week passes do warnings reset? Are we talking warnings per admin, or does two warnings from one admin then more from another admin not count as consecutive? Is it okay because of who it is? Is it okay because they post the most? What even are the ethics here? Especially in mildly constructive.
Im not a therapist but I will say what mine tells me when -someone elses voice- tries to alienate or shame me for being different, experiencing or processing in my own way. Whomever needs to hear it after this absolute shitpost: You're not gross. You're not creepy. Fantasy is absolutely natural whether s-ual or not. Likenesses being used happens in all genres and thats okay (barring profit). Its okay to have human experiences and feelings. Give yourself some grace.
Dont let people who keep coming back to express how much better they are because they "don't like/participate/respect the same things you do" anymore get under the skin. And question why people who you believe are usually sensible people give it a pass.
No not a person..applets and cotlets, the treat my grandpa and I bonded over.. is not going to exist. I know it's a bit silly but I get some every year to remember him by.
When a song can remind you of the most awful IC drama that both players mutually agreed on that led to tons of ic development. When that memory makes you smile and miss the person in the best way.

Calling in sick for an accommodated day due to a physical disability I will always have should not require me to call my boss, apply for state pmla for the single day, call into the 'professional services' that have both sent me a letter I am eligible for accommodation days but also told me that I'm not approved for accommodation days, and also wait for a specialist to call me back in 2 business days to let me know if I missed any steps in the approval process. FFS, they make this whole process confusing to complete on a day I'm already missing due to my inability to function on a normal human level. UGH. Can I please just not get fired for a lifelong fucking illness...
My peeve today is my body betrayal. I would like it to function in a manner conductive to maintaining a living wage and healthy activity levels.
Online folks that I vibe with are friends but like @Derp says there are levels. Heck I even have met and been helped out/have helped out friends from online physically and financially.. I'm even currently partners with someone I met on Tempest (wod mush).
Sadly around 2012 I went through some shit and basically became a hermit ooc. But I still consider a lot of those folks friends and would absolutely do what I can to help them if they needed it.
People who you can connect with are rare.. who cares if they are virtual pen pals or someone that I connected with online then in rl. Some folks I stay strictly on game communication with. Either way, they're still someone I care for and that to me is a friend, no matter what level of trust/ooc commitment there is between us.
@l-b-heuschkel This can happen with real life friendships too, betrayal, ghosting, or just life taking them to a different place. Has and will again. So it's about the same in my estimation.
