@Thenomain This may be a silly question, but could you not build an escape into the program? IE: using say ` , as in 'p wiz=Help, I'm lost! would actually page? Or is it impossible to have an escape there?

Past tense: Maybe it's habit or something the other player prefers. Habits can be awfully hard to break, and if that's how they learned to RP, even more so.

It's probably not about the other players... Thinking it is is a rather silly thing, how many people could entirely consistently change something that dramatic about their RP style just to mess with others? And why would they? That's some determined bullshit right there. People should either get over it if the RP is otherwise fun or just avoid playing with that person if it's just too much for their brains to handle.

@icanbeyourmuse I feel your pain. I hate imposing, or forcing myself into RP, it makes me uncomfortable and certain that I'm intruding. Even with people that I am friends with somewhat outside of that particular game, I still am super careful.

The issue is, that can come across as stand offish, or like you don't actually want to be included. Or worse, passive aggressive. And even knowing all that, it's still a struggle to invite yourself in! Totally.

@HelloRaptor Yes, this I didn't like them, but I was 15 when I read them. And I felt obligated to read the other ones, cause my cool friends like them. And yes, that does say how cool I was in high school that my D&D friends were the cool kids that applied peer pressure!

It takes you to the latest post... not the last one you read. Sometimes, if it's a hot topic, it could be pages ago It's not a big deal, but somewhat annoying.
