    • RE: To OOC Room or Not to OOC Room (and Other Artifacts)

As I said in the other thread, I support an OOC Room on a server that does not have a private room for each PC. That way there is always a place a PC can go and not have someone run across them and try to start a scene.

The only other circumstance where an OOC Room would be welcome is a server going the RPI route and not having channels. This ensures there is a place people can gather to chat OOC and make plans for meeting up on the grid.

I do support Private RP Rooms, though. They allow people to have backscenes off of the grid so people not part of the backscene aren't accidentally walking into the scene.

@arkandel As every old school D&Der knows, you take your ten foot pole and poke at the sword first, then steal it. It could be inside a gelatinous cube afterall.

Can I play Howard Beale? I think I have enough crazy and anger at society to pull it off.

@Ominous I've been reading the Cross Gen comics again and have been inspired by the myth arc of The First and the world of Mystic. It could definitely play out as a cool L&L type game,

I am more inspired by Kill Six Billion Demons' central cityworld of Throne and the demiurges who are locked in a cold war. I could also see a world where numerous covenants/guilds/houses/universities/priories/whatever are constantly jockeying for position in some sort of senate. Maybe each org has one Grandmaster who has absolute control of the org, but everyone else is slowly waiting for the Grandmaster to die to then try to take the reins.

    • RE: The 100: The Mush

@GirlCalledBlu I honestly think that will greatly help trim the complaints of cliquishness. I am in your second list of people who have impacted the game through interpersonal relationships, but that's not the list I have been shooting for. Every time I get around to trying to get myself involved in a storyline, it's already been decided and things are moving on. Giving more time for things to play out and more people to get a scene or two in should help make it feel less like a group of six or seven people are running the show.

Here I went and offered my wonderful (read insane) ideas for steampunk-y airships in fantasy ocean island world and I don't get an invitation?

Well, fine! I'll go make my own game...

Actually, that probably describes a lot of games already.

If he/she gets away, though, you may have created an intense fetish for them, so now they have to rob banks to get off.

    • RE: Arx: @clues

@bananerz Apparently you weren't around for the first three months or so of clues when people had diarrhea of the mouth when it came to clues. Every scene had someone who was offering every single clue they had. I ended up with like 100 over the course of this time. Staff ended up putting an AP cost to it, which cut down on the sharing, but there was a brief bit of unhappiness at the cost being added.

You know those cats you hear about at nursing homes and such that always seem to know when someone is going to die and will sleep at that person's side? Actually the person dies from having their soul absorbed by the cat, and the cat just chose them at random.
