Any old Under the Stars players still around?

I was Arthur Yorke, the author / nightmare sufferer. We closed up near the start of the pandemic and I was just wondering if any of the people I remember are still around.

...well, something happened here. o_O

I'm 100% here for all of this.

There was zero activity on the actual MUSH. I couldn't find anyone to interact with or set up RP with at all, because they just used the website apparently? I don't know how people even got into a scene.

@sunny I tried out Arx... was not a game for me.

The pandemic hasn't been kind to anyone except billionaires, alas. Glad to see people are still surviving!

Good to see you both! Not playing on any public games these days because honestly I haven't found any where any RP is actually happening... seems like everyone is going to that Ares website thing for RP these days and I can't get into it.

After finding out an old friend had passed away without my knowing, I've felt nostalgic about the old days. So I've gathered up as many old MU* character names as I could remember / find to post here, in case anyone wants to reconnect. Or talk about what a terrible person I am, whatever. I know there were a lot more MUSHes and characters than this, but those memories have been lost to time.

At this point I'd almost be tempted to say it's a copy-cat, but they showed me some of the pages and that semi-awkward style would be hard to replicate. And a troll/copy-cat would be tempted to go further than Jill does.

She is an enigma for the ages.

(For the record, a friend of mine had a Jill The Guest sighting just last week.)

I logged on to check it out, nobody ever on anymore.

On an invite-only site that I play on, we use the MUSH primarily for planning, chat, and such -- the majority of RP is actually done in google docs, which result in scenes lasting for days rather than hours but we're all family/work people these days so we don't usually have time for long live scenes. We do them occasionall, but schedules conflict often.

Anything modern-ish and supernatural, preferably -- WoD or not.

Evenings Central time.

What active games are there out there, particularly in the evenings (since I work morn-afternoon shifts)?

Every game I check out lately seems utterly dead.
