I'm okay with it provided it makes sense in the setting. All my characters are riffs off of 2 or 3 main concepts I always find myself playing.

That being said, right now I have a character I love in a game I do not and I am 100% prepared to copy/paste her into another game.

@mietze Your take is basically my take. I would, as a player, probably be willing to throw some money at a place I really liked. Maybe. As an admin? I am not taking ANYONE'S money. Because that creates expectations.

@darinelle This was very much a "I can see it coming but it's not here yet and I'm going to deal with at as best I can when it does get here" situation...but then it didn't get here So at least in this case there shouldn't be any fallout.

I finally landed a job where I can roll up in jeans and a t-shirt every day. I'm not sure I can go back.

I was born to a non-nerd family, but was raised in a very 'who the fuck cares what other people think' manner which came in handy. I think I found scifi/fantasy on my own (at the library). I finally met some Actual Nerds in high school and it's been downhill since.

I am so grateful that my 5 year old son hasn't brought home any tales of Pilgrims and Indians feasting together in mutual delight this year. They just did a little play about what they were thankful for.

@egg oh there’s always RP to be had there. But I have specific preferences which are not often met by BarRP or large events.
