So I've been chronically under-employed for my entire working life. I hold a MA in Egyptology. Right now, I teach Latin and Ancient Egyptian language classes online to homeschooled kids. It's work, but it doesn't pay very well. I earned less than $9000 last year.

I don't do well in most traditional workplaces. A combination of autism and PTSD makes it hard for me in the workplace, and I have never had an employer who didn't find the firing me was superior than actually providing appropriate accommodations. It's not that I'm not able to work, it's that I'm never seen as hireable for positions that actually suit me or retainable in the positions I have had.

I don't know what to do. I feel useless and worthless.

I'm sick and fucking tired of my landlord weaponizing his bad Airbnb reviews for the basement unit against us. I am disabled and can't walk any more lightly. He keeps bitching at us about "noise complaints" and is too dumb to realize that we can read his fucking Airbnb reviews, too, three of which complain about being able to (GASP) hear people walking upstairs.

I'm in a state with legal medical cannabis products, but only oils and extracts, and you have to pay a fee every year just for the privilege of being able to be prescribed cannabis.

I'm lucky. My dad likes growing and lives in a state where he can with no problems, so I buy the seeds for the strains I want and he grows them for me.

@Wizz Yeah, it's a fairly common thing. Cannabis can be great, but it's medicine and should be used with care.

By the way, for me, I don't smoke, but prefer to vape whole flower from an ArizerEQ. Best machine on the market.

@Auspice For someone with a serious cat allergy, that is still enough to make them very seriously ill. Hypo- just means less, and the proteins in cat dander have a strange reaction in the body of some people who are seriously allergic to them, causing more severe reactions with every exposure. Furthermore, a single exposure can lead to reactions that last for days, or even weeks. For many people, there is NO safe level of cat exposure.
