"Tattoos are a popular option."
Cue all the whiners who bitch about people having tattoos signifying their supernatural allegiances, despite every wod book since the dawn of time saying characters do so, depicting characters doing so, etc.
I had a character who had the Virtual Adepts symbol tattooed across her back. It wasn't a great idea, but it was fun.

I can see how being around the abused only feeds into the cycle of abuse further, or causes the victims to lose a sense of how the world is supposed to work.
I thought it was pretty straightforward: Bullies beget bullies.
I'm actually starting to feel disillusioned by these Seemings. They don't seem well-nuanced, and I kind of wish they'd go back to stereotypes as a foundation and allow people to build from there. Fortunately they're optional (note: if they're not, that sucks), because I can't think of an existing character concept in my head that would fit any to date.

That would make ogres impossible to play, in an online environment. TT, sure, you're around a limited group that isn't bellyaching all the time, but on a MU?
The player of an Ogre would have to choose their friends carefully or spend more time alone. This is a tangible flaw, and anyone deliberately trying to pick on this flaw may be spending an unusual amount of time on the floor looking for their teeth.
In half-bitter seriousness, the finger on Eldritch has only one player-set table field: Wiki page. I think that about sums it up.
I do like @Cobaltasaurus' approach far more than anything I've coded or seen coded,
The PS4 Last of Us bundle came out right after I dropped a wad on a new laptop.
Dammit.

Somehow I feel like switching antivirus is less onerous a task than switching operating systems.
Then you haven't really dealt with McAfee.
(I have no idea if you have or haven't, but it was funny.)
We intended Darkmetal to be a nonsense, bullshit game. It fulfilled its role admirably, and while everyone hated it everyone still played there because it was working as designed.
Then Durthorin's player took over and it became a bullshit nonsense game that wouldn't admit to it.
Whatever DM is turning into, it's cool that it sounds like staff is willing to guide instead of insist. Go for it.
@HelloRaptor
Yeah, I'm still not getting it.
if any rolls that include 10s but also have more 1s than 10s, list as a botch
This looks to me like an instruction. "If more 1s than 10s, then list as botch."
"1 1 1 10" has more 1s than 10s, so you say to list it as a botch.
Then you say it's wrong for it to be reported as a botch.
It can't be both.

I do love the Little Big Planet games though, which are PS4 exclusive. I am pretty sure that's like 80% of the reason we have a PS4.
I hope the other 20% is Last Of us.

@Thenomain -- The Wiki was created for the 2010 reboot of the game. If you played before that, you won't have had / made a Wiki page.
Duh-of-the-Day.
Roll like 10 dice at difficulty 10, see if any rolls that include 10s but also have more 1s than 10s, list as a botch. If 1 1 1 2 2 2 3 3 3 10 is a botch, the game is doing it wrong.
Emphasis mine. Either your example is wrong or your description of the botch rule is wrong. (More of a derp than a duh.)
This is silly, since you could make the leather band base and I'm sure half a dozen props masters can make the rest.
P.s., make me one please!

I was wondering, what is the actual technical limitation in handling Becomings? That is, what needs to be coded before it's possible?
It can be done right now*, it just needs things done by hand. The only one that's difficult on this front is Demon, which is kind of ironic because this is a complete sheet-wipe making it the easiest on the other staffers. Demon requires things done that any Wizard can do, but only I really know how.
(* I may have setting 'template' locked down even to staff. I'll have to check.)

The reports that state that your firewall can be actively bypassed are fear mongering, or written by someone who has no idea how they work.
That's me. Half not-remembering information, and half not-remembering information. There have been non-trivial proofs of concepts of bypassing (ignoring? tricking? use the term of your choice) router firewalls, so I leave the rest up to people who want to do research into the proper terminology.
Except those reports every two months saying how your router's firewall can be actively bypassed because of Apparently Cool Feature X, nevermind the inherent network insecurities from The Internet Of Things.
@Tennyson,
Macafee must have been saying, "Don't touch it! It's evil!"

We are leaving some room for Embraces once our code can better support them, which shouldn't be long.
Both statements are provably false.
