@mietze I'm fairly sure there's still parental oversight, but from sixteen to eighteen it's much more... lax? I don't know, I haven't done much banking out here.

@mietze I think it's 16 if she's earning her own income, which she likely will be. Which makes sense, if she's old enough to work she's old enough to make her own decisions with that money.

@mietze Apparently once she hits sixteen her account transitions from a child's savings account to an adult one, I don't get a say. So it'll be interesting.

It's policy. Worked, briefly, at a tech helpdesk for our equivalent to a school district. It's basically the same as a corporate gig. You have a script, your calls are recorded, and teachers/administrators think they know everything so you have to follow the script so you're protected from their arrogance.
