That's how it used to be, although the Christmas 'season' didn't really start in my nana's house until a week or two after Thanksgiving. That's when the whirlwind of decorating and such would begin. Now? Thanks to the 'Christmas in July' crap and everything, Christmas might as well be all year around.

Yeah, Funko has quite a following from what I understand/have seen evidenced via YouTube. I am not sure if it's the figures that draw the fan base or if it is the particular fandoms the company represents being popular or if it is a case of both, but there are a lot of people who collect, etc!

In light of the fact that I am slowly getting into collecting - very slowly due to lack of space and/or funds! - I thought I'd ask what people like to collect.

Thanks to my recent delving into LootCrate, I've decided that I am going to get into collecting Funko stuff. I got their Dorbz Power Armor figure in my first Lootcrate and it sealed my fate! I wanted to get into collecting Pop!s and stuff for a while but the Dorbz really sold me on them. I came across a little extra money thanks to a lost-and-found Amazon gift card and got the Voltron Pop! for around $9. So... yes. The slippery slope. I start down it.

I mean paying for games isn't anathema, even for ones with microtransactions. I see no reason I shouldn't spent as much as say, my WoW subscription for something I play regularly.

Having said that, I haven't. The stigma!

The 2500 coins was a little over $20, with tax. And I put in a bit over five last week. I don't really think I'll wind up spending more than $5 at a time, on an average. Yesterday was just an exception.

I agree! I bought 200 pokeballs yesterday, plus got extras when my friend and I went out and hit up the pokestops on the main road on this end of town. I also bought 25 incense. I am now down to 48 pokeballs and 7 incense!

Rotten Tomatoes seems to be biased against most superhero movies unless they're obvious money winners, like the Marvel flicks. Anything else made by anyone not Marvel? They'll hate it!

Went on a two hour drive around my part of town with a friend of mine. So many new Pokemon were to be had by me, including a Meowth, an Ekans and a Goldeen, among others.

I hate that my step-dad is very sick with various issues and my mom won't change how she is to make sure he can get what he needs, mainly a kidney transplant he can't have because she can't be relied on to give him his meds on time, etc.

I can honestly say that in all of my time playing MMOs that I've been treated... maybe differently(?) once and that was back when I was playing Star Wars Galaxies. But I am not exactly sure if it was because of my gender/sex or the fact that the player of the toon my toon was married to was just just a genuinely nice guy. Other than that, I've been given zero preferential difference or treated any differently or poorly just because I am a woman.

Someone pre-ordered the expansion for me so I'll be there. I am going to resist playing a Demon Hunter during the beta because I do not want anything spoiled for me outside of what little I have seen of their starting area during the alpha when Twich people were streaming it. I'll probably go Horde for my first one (yay blood elves!) and then make one for the alliance side at some point.
