Space ships - cyberpunk, cyberware, future tech, that sort of thing. Something that isn't fantasy or modern/WoD/superhero. I tried Sindome but I think it was just right angle to my experiences for me to really enjoy it.

Most active scifi games right now?
The hobby is so discombobulated and it's hard to know if there's a great game just sliding out under the various MU* tracking websites - does anyone know what the top three or so active, good (understanding that's subjective) scifi games are right now?

RE: Dystopia MUX
Aside from a short jaunt I never spent a ton of time on Firan - when I logged in it seemed to indicate I didn't have energy from not eating. Do you need to hit a command to eat every few RL days? What happens if you don't eat? I'm just trying to get a sense of where the boundaries are on the coded stuff. I'm totally into the cyberpunk aspect!

RE: Shadowrun!
I staffed on SR: Seattle for many many many years, from 92'ish until 2000. I truly do miss Shadowrun MU*s, some of the best RP I've had in the hobby since I started.

Comic/Superhero based games.
I've seen a thread about HeroMUX but does anyone have any games that are reasonably active (as active as games can be in this day and age) with a good player base? Looking to maybe check out a hero game.

RE: Which MU* telnet clients are still popular?
Copy and paste out of the Mac - that's why Potato annoys me. That and the dual-entry text fields - but I know most folks love that. I always, always, on every launch, switch it to single field.

No worries, I'm still sorry I gave ya that impression.

@TMG , I just thought you had no interest or room in your play for anyone else. That was the impression I got as a player and as Staff (I wasn't anyone important as Staff btw). However, I only have half a brain dedicated only to hating so take that with a grain of salt.
I'm sorry about that! I tried to be inclusive, I think it came across the other way. I'd rather run a scene that lets everyone else shine, and that's kinda where I'm at. I know some folks were concerned I was on staff on TR/Fallcoast, I want to clarify - I wasn't staff until the end and only then because they didn't have anyone that wanted to lead the hunt for a new Crime/Law faction writeup. So someone else and I paired up and did that, and once the game was open and questions were answered, I posted and took my cue. I never wanted to staff on the active game, cause I've been there done that and it's the easiest way to burn me out.
As for the others ... thank you. The kind words make me blush!

RE: Arkandel's Playlist
@Luna I think the problem I had playing Patrick was that I got too into trying to make sure the Skype calls and OOC interactions on channel were fun, and took the 'freedom loving guy' thing to the extreme end of the meter; far enough out there it shattered and became a ridiculous and annoying parody of itself. I couldn't see it at the time, but with the hindsight of time and separation now I can. I apologize for anyone it grated on; to my own discredit folks did mention it to me but I couldn't see it at the time. The way I saw it then, folks cheered me on and by and larglye loved it (It being the 'acting as Patrick' part.) . Of course I couldn't appreciate then how much folks that didn't care for it REALLY didn't care for it and had reasons for this.
Anyway, for those that I annoyed (ignorance is no excuse on my side) I apologize. Our hobby is small enough and shrinking still that I don't want to contribute to the pile of folks that people avoid. I am truly sorry. I hate thinking I was that much of a friction point because of my actions.
I have been open on Fallcoast when I made my PCs and the newest one (Mage, Arrow) seemed to have a quick dispersal of folks from RP and chatting - so this was an abject lesson to be sure.
I'll take the props for Faction heading, I've been MU*ing since 1992 (@shayd and I started way back then on Shadowrun Seattle) and running the Arrows and Dunlins at the same time was probably the hardest amount of work I've had to put in.
