@Swaggot
The consensus is: none of those concepts were denied for being 'too interesting', but for not fitting with the game. (PS none of those concepts were even interesting) OH NO. Go play something else. This isn't the civil rights movement, you aren't being oppressed by being told you can't play a terrible cartoon character on one particular game. -

I'd love to know what kind of examples we're talking about.
- Are they people asking to play an LOTR elf on a Game of Thrones game? (Heard about it, didn't see it personally. Have seen someone come to a WoD game and ask to play a Strix, though, that was... special.)
I'll come to your game and app a Demogorgon.

Unlike your personal opinion that my concepts aren't interesting, your post is objectively retarded. Are you just trolling, or are you, by extension, objectively retarded? The choice is yours

Troll is being troll again. They didn't say the fucking concepts were not interesting you mouth breather, they said they weren't denied for being interesting. Learn to read much?

To be fair, I said his concepts weren't particularly interesting.
Because they aren't. Not based solely on what he stated. They're pretty bland.
Also, I would be hesitant to let such an obvious troll play Ed, too, if I ran MultiwhateverMUSH.

Who needs to learn to read, again? Fucking idiot

@Coin I actually agree. They're pretty mild. The point is, if these rather tame ideas are too zany, then it amounts to a ban on anything interesting, since those things are bound to be way zanier.

The thing is, you seem to be convinced they were denied because they were "too zany" but without actual copies of staff saying, "these idea are too out there for us!" or "you're too interesting for this MU!" it really just comes down to not allowing them or restricting them for various reasons, none of which "too zany" is one.
-
@Coin People are rarely so plain (or sometimes, even self-aware enough) to just say things like that. They usually phrase it differently. In the case of Imperian, the stated purpose of the new restriction was to make it so there was more "definition" between the three factions (Anti-Magick, Magick, and Demonic), which in turn meant they wanted to pigeonhole classes to factions.
It was literally about precluding zaniness, they just would never have called it that. Whatever term you want to use: zany, interesting, etc, as opposed to bland, cookie cutter, or tame, fact is, it's common for MU* staff to have an inclination to call anything that isn't extremely generic completely "ridiculous."
Is there a degree of interpretation going on here? Absolutely. Is "like omg I can't even rn", or any variation thereof, a valid answer to it? Not even close. Should I feel inclined to take seriously the opinions and interpretations of people who tell me that I can't read, while being unable to read themselves? Absolutely not.
-
Oh, I absolutely said they weren't interesting. As stated, they aren't. A werewolf who can fight! A cleric who prays sometimes! A cartoon that no one liked! Something else, I don't know, who cares enough to re-read it?
@Swaggot, even an objectively retarded person can see you are way better at trolling than roleplaying. Stick to what you're good at, kid.

Hey now.
That cartoon was pretty ballin'.

@Kanye-Qwest Ed, Edd, n Eddie was the shit. Fuck outta here.

I too have played an ex-con werewolf, like Coin's he was a only wolf-blooded while in prison, though to be a bit different he went through the first change in play.
I am not saying it is a uninteresting concept, but it is far from unique on the game which was fairly small where I was my ex-con blooded there was at least one other wolf with a record and a couple other with criminal ties.
The loner ex-con looking for a fresh start is a pretty common fictional trope and one that leads itself to being a new wolf in the area I doubt there is a were sphere around without a coupe of them.
You are totally right that they are some places that place very low and arbitrary limits on c-gen combat stats. For example there was a game that had a limit of 6 dice to any combat pool. -

So did mine. Not that different.
-
Back in my day we had real cartoons like the Powerpuff Girls and Darkwing Duck and Animaniacs.
Ed, Edd, n Eddie was garbage. That terrible, shaky-cam animation is probably what made me retarded.

Ah well, though this is a nice lesson on why I don't assume character plagiarism with out real evidence since two different people can come up with very similar concepts from reading the same source material.
I hesitate to ask the crime for fear they were complete clones. -

Powerpuff Girls and Ed, Edd, n Eddy are from the same timespan.

He was basically Lucas Hood from Banshee, I didn't even pretend he wasn't.

Unlike Darwing Duck and Animaniacs, which predate them by around a decade?
